Does anyone else enjoy being spontaneous? What is it that you have done? Done something without thinking because it seemed like a good idea? Doing something stupid while shopping? Something nice for your loved one? Or randomly jumping in the car and going somewhere totally unplanned?
Well I enjoy having fun and a good time. Last week me and my girlfriend were in town and we had the sudden urge to run up the down escalator because it sounded fun. Was hard work, but we did it! Haha. Other than that, I have grabbed her before in the middle of town and just started to slow dance for a minute or two. Yes I cant help it, I am a romantic. , but f*ck it! I don't care about anyone else around me as long as we are happy, right? I wish more people would show affection for eachother, its nice when people do. Don't be scared or embarrassed!

I admit, I too love to be spontaneous.
Three things that I do the most would be the old "trolley dash" as I call it (riding on the back of a shopping trolley whilst going down an aisle in the supermarket), walking up the down escalator (just for fun), and dancing in empty rooms.

Can't beat the ol' "surprise cuddle" when your other half isn't expecting it, or even expecting to see you at all. Hah, random slow dancing in town? Sounds adorable, I'm going to try that and see how she reacts. I too am hopelessly romantic. With that said though, I can't stand excess public affection. Seeing people getting too into eachother in public places turns my stomach.
I also find it amusing to spontaneously wave to random people on the street to see how they react: usually with a misunderstood expression or a smile, or even a wave back! Not on my own though. Bit weird if I were doing that just to entertain myself.

1. Driving (or being a passenger and getting the driver to do it), and passing someone in the street and honking you horn at them and waving at them as if you've known them for years and then looking back in your mirror to see their reaction.
2. More personal but if I'm in the shower, filling my mouth with water and doing this.
I am somewhat unspontaneous, but when I am, people end up being friends with me and sometimes people I used to know aren't friends with me anymore.
Basically, when I do something unimportant, I somehow think way too much about it, like when I cut my fingernails I start thinking what will happen if I cut them and don't have them when I need them the most, like somebody asks me to do something important with my fingernails - such as prying something open but I can't as I cut them yesterday or day before yesterday.
Usually then I cut into my fingernail too far and I stop thinking because of the pain.
Sometimes when I go to a shop and have to buy something, I even think way too far in time, such as in years - I may get poisoned by food I'll buy or the new phone will prove faulty and I have to choose a different one.
Usually I prevent thinking by doing something real spontaneous and unplanned and people don't like that.
I have went to a psychologist for that, but nothing could be set up for that, except that she told me that I'm overly paranoid. Good thing that I didn't have to pay anything for that diagnosis.

Don't usually get the chance to do anything/go anywhere off the cuff. If i'm at home I have to tell my mum what i'm gunna do (Be weird if I suddenly disappeared), and if i'm at uni you can never get away from housemates without them thinking you're in some emotional turmoil every time you do something weird or suddenly vanish out the door...
It's not spontaneous if you have to tell people first in my opinion.

It's great those random 5 minutes of joy/stupidity bursts you get! To be honest though, out and about I'm generally quite reserved, not really that spontaneous on the spot (Give me a bmx though, then its a different story). However, this year in general I've taken that 'say yes to everything' approach. Like planned weekends, or doing things kinda thing. So month 7 into the year, and I've been aboard 4 times, 3 of which were stag duos. It's really unusual cause I ain't a drinker. Camping loads, music festivals etc.
And I can honestly say its been, so far, a great 2012. Very busy, and just seems to be flying by. So aye lol, being a bit more spontaneous about decisions has been great

Funny you should mention that. Just a few days back, I was walking back from college with some friends and as we were walking on a main road with plently of vehicles passing, we decided to wave at each one driving past. It was hilarious seeing some of the drivers reactions. We got some people to wave back, some to press their horn and the majority just ignored us. We even had this old guy stick his middle finger up at us...
I guess I'm kind of spontaneous. I do lots of random, silly things. Some like you guys mentioned (making random people feel uncomfortable) others, much more weird, lol.

I'm nowhere near as spontaneous as I used to be.
I'm ok with that though. I'm still spontaneous, just not like any of the stories I could relay here without getting in trouble with the wife, law, or job.
I guess I could call myself spontaneous. I like to just drop everything and make changes in my life, big or small, and I'm pretty good at adapting. For example, just last month I decided to completely stop drinking Coca-Cola after I realized that drinking 4-5 cans a day was insanely unhealthy, so far I've had none.
@4 Bagger I used to do that with some friends when I lived next to a busy road, usually people waved back.

You crazy son of a bitch.
There's always a time and place to act spontaneously, and I can't say I've done anything noteworthy for some time now. the last time was prob 6 years ago or so where I was trying to fly to New York to meet some folks for new years eve, but I was flying stand-by and I couldn't get on the flight. Since I had already made the pain-in-the-ass trip to the airport, I figured I might as well go somewhere. Off to Vegas I went, by myself, just for that night and I was back on the plane home by 6am on the 1st.

I used to do that too while I was on a train looking out an open window, I would wave at drivers or other times at passengers when trains passed by. Most people wave back and some even smile, I guess something like this can make their busy day a little better.

I have to admit if I'm on the train and I see someone in a car on the road, I'll usually wave or do a little hand gesture, especially if its a kid or something.
I'm a creature by habit and routine and takes me a while to get used to anything new. Anything from as big as new job or little as when to sleep/get up and new bus route. I'm also pretty lazy so it's a pretty dull routine - sorry to be a downer but that's just who I am. I'm definitely introverted as I tried out that Myers Brigg Personality Test - you know the one with the letters. I remember when I took it ages ago and I was INTP dubbed as, "The Architect" then I just did just now and got INTJ "The Scientist", funny that how I'm a graphic designer.

I've done some crazy things... I was on a bus and me and my friends used to wave to people and some reacted with a wave, a smile and some the middle finger.. I also answered spontaneously to my teachers like when the teacher ask, "any questions?" I spontaneously asked, "how does chickens have sex?" "And if you play with a virgin, will a pop sound be heard?" (This was when the teacher taught about the reproduction system) Good times...

I'm spontaneous at times, should be more often, life can end up being too much of a routine, and days can pass without any real memories or any difference between one from the other...
Personally I'll spontaneously do affectionate things to my other half, never too much touchy feely in public, but sometimes ....I'll also say hey let's go here....if I've got a bit of spare cash to afford the fuel I'll head out for a drive, go down roads i've never driven before and see where they get me ....
sometimes if travelling on public transport i'll hit up conversations with strangers, occasionally I'll stick my tongue out at passing cars, once did it when i was a wee lad, and the ladies driving flashed me... not happened since, but you can't blame me for trying still
