I've just been trying to mod today, with my GTA IV on steam - so the game is at the most recent patch.

I add an .asi loader and a scripthook file to try to use mods, so I take my first mod, a free running mod which basically lets you do certain moves which are in the game on command (combat slide, forward roll, etc).

Then I try to add the mods from this page: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/show...ad.php?t=801265

I put in the ragdoll mod; it lets me start the game; but the mod has no effect on the game.

Adding any of the other three mods causes the game to straight-up not start.

I press on the launch GTA, run as administrator, and open up the social club page. I click on "Play" or "Play offline", and it gives me a loading wheel... then nothing happens.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue? It's driving me nuts.

for asi loader use xliveless , it will allow you to bypass GFWL login . be sure you have asi loader or scripthook corresponding to your game version

Okay, I think my version is like 1.0.0.7, where do I get the loader for that? And will the mods work with that version?

Okay, still only one mod working after updating the scripthook and asi loader. What's going wrong?

check your mods readme and see if they are compatible with 1.0.7.0 . you can try deleting your savegames too (SGTA4xx files)

Okay, I reverted my game to 1.0.4.0

All of my mods in their logs say [FATAL] Unable to auto-detect game version

don't know if we understood well each other but i never told you to revert to 1.0.4 . steam updates automatically so trying to play to 1.0.4 on steam will only lead to crashes . on steam i suggest you to keep 1.0.7 which is very stable . hope you didn't made a mess by reverting lol . if your mods are compatible it should work . try them one by one eventually
