Yes, it’s been a while, but here is some news that has just come through on GTA V. You will see it here it first, before it spreads all over the net like wild fire. The much anticipated GTA V is certainly going to be more than worth the wait, so, Ladies & Gents, here it is:



Police, Fire, Ambulance & Taxi missions are all back, and have been re-vamped vastly.

• Fire missions now involve actually going in to burning buildings, and rescuing people. Skyscrapers now catch fire, and ladders and helicopters are used.
• Ambulance missions are simular, but now revolve around priority. For example, you are rewarded more for saving a heart attack or car crash victim, that what you are for saving a junkie from overdosing, or a gangbanger from his fight wounds.
• The Police in car computer is back, but with a lot more most wanted missions than before. The player works a number of missions for the LSPD, which require him going undercover.
• Taxi missions are basically the same, only now you get calls on the radio as well.


Gangs play a major role in the game. Near the start of the game, the player will have the option to choose to join one of four gangs, or be a lone wolf. Depending on which gang the player chooses, the game plays out a different path, and opens up different missions, ultimately giving the player five possible game plays.
Different gangs offer different pros and cons such as a safehouse, protection and access to weapons. Some gangs are involved in drugs, others extortion, others laundering. One is an outlaw biker gang.

Burglary missions are also back. With the economy in turmoil, the crime rate has sky rocketed in Los Santos. Not only will the player need to steal to survive early in the game, he will find many trying to take from him. With no safe house, and only a back pack to start out, a good survival strategy is a must.


The map is roughly 75 square miles in size, roughly equaling, two L.A.Noire’s for the city, with two RDR’s for the countryside, which includes a handful of small towns in itself. The majority of the map is landlocked, only the south-west corner of the map is ocean.


Cole Phelps & John Marston’s graves, can both be found in the game as Easter Eggs.


Dating is no longer part of the game, but that’s not to say the protagonist doesn’t soil his oats from time to time. Getting drunk can now have you waking up in bed with all kinds of different strangers. There is also still an abundance of prostitutes.


Gambling, both legal and illegal, can be found right across Los Santos.


Rivers now have currents and oceans now have waves.


8 Ball is back.


About 20% of all interiors are now enterable, many with working elevators.

Tattoos, haircuts, clothing, muscle, fat, are all totally customizable.


Cars are also completely customizable, right down to hand spraying your own graphics. New features include, engine upgrades, turbo kits, sports tyres, car seat covers, steering wheels, braking systems, subwoofers with disco lights, suspension upgrades & weight reductions. Once you customize a car, and save it at the Custom shop, it will always be obtainable as saved. Saved custom cars can now also be used in Multi Player mode.



The in game TV now has multiple channels to choose from with hours of entertainment. Movie theatres, comedy clubs, rock concerts, carnivals, strip clubs, bars, casinos, internet cafes, fine dining restaurants, a zoo, an aquarium, a civil war museum, a railway museum are just some of the sources of entertainment the city has to offer.

The sewer system is now accessible in places.


A new type of side mission has you working as a pest controller. This provides a great opportunity for hocking their valuables. Also, becoming a bus or train driver, or commercial helicopter pilot are all possible.

Dogs can be purchased and used for guarding your property only. They are not for pets and they can not be walked, or you cannot put them in a vehicle. They can however be killed.

The game has been in development for just over 4 years now, and the most probable release date at this stage is Oct. 2012, but could be as late as March 2013, this is the window.
