application failed to launch problem

Player Hater Group: Members Joined: Sep 6, 2012	hi friends , GTA IV used to run on my PC perfectly until i changed my windows , now every time i try to play it i see a message says : application failed to launch the application you attempting to launch please reinstall the application or contact support at http://www.rockstargames.com/support I'm using the same version of windows 7 ultimate that i used at first time, and i tried to re-install the game and social club many times but the problem remains so could any one help me ,please ?!!

no i didn't
first time i got it from original DVD and this time i installed it from an image of that DVD

and i reinstalled it like the first time

Did I balls? Group: Andolini Mafia Family Joined: Apr 18, 2011	It seems that you upgraded your windows, uninstall the game, and delete the directory (also it's preferable to use CCleaner, to remove the .reg files). Then install the game and see if it's working normally or not.

Keep riding hard, son Group: Members Joined: Feb 14, 2008	Have you installed these? Patch 7 GFWL update You also have to install the VC++ libraries from the game disk, the installer should be labelled vc_setup.exe.
