Im fixing to install windows 7 on an older machine designed for XP. Here are the specs:
Windows XP Home edition SP3 2GB Ram Intel Pentium 4 40GB hard drive Intel Extreme graphics 82865G
I need to install drivers for the graphics. Its an intel extreme graphics 82865G internal. I tried before, however the driver would not install. Is there a way to install the driver by a hack or something? |
Did you get them from Intel's site? It could be that those drivers aren't compatible with Windows 7 and you might have to pick up a cheap PCI graphics card for it to run. In all honesty, you'd be better off installing XP on that machine as performance will be extremely sluggish with Windows 7.
