Mini Review (NO spoilers,till end in tag)All I can say is wow. I wasn't trying to bite the hype but damn. The game really deserved all of it.
Honestly can say it's in the top of my all time fav video games. Everything is very well done.
The detail in some of the levels is amazing. The graphics are pushing the ps3 to the edge. Yes, there were
minor flat textures here and there. But it doesn't even matter. The lighting on some of the levels
was Next Gen like. Crazy. Particularly one of the better scenes showcasing the lighting was the Ranch House
scene in the woods. The flashlight you use was also superbly realistic in the environment.
My creepiest moment came in the abandoned hotel in the basement. You have a flashlight but It's still dark. It's flooded. It's quiet.
And you have to turn on this generator for power. And i'll leave the rest to the imagination.
Also what was adrenaline pumping was running out of ammo during infected attacks and having to run
away. Never felt so un- in control of things in a game before. I loved that. Died so many damn
times haha.
Gameplay was pretty solid. One gripe is Ellie's A.I. didn't help me as much in the beginning as
expected but towards the middle/end she held her own. Also the A.I. could kind of get in your
way a few times when hiding behind cover. Nothing game breaking but noticeable. I also had A.I. go right infront of
infected and human enemies and not be spotted but I think that was more of a design choice than
glitch so the A.I. didn't start unnecessary skirmishes. Which was smart. Would have been annoying.
Also one last gripe is some enemies took WAY too many bullets to bring down. Instances where it
took 3 or 4 pistol shots to bring down a guy. And a few where the shotgun didn't do as much damage
as it should have close up. Everything else was so realistic except for that.
The Stealth gameplay was very satisfying. Going up behind a guy and taking him down mgs style. Oh so nice.
The story was Excellent. Sad beginning...At the end a few twists I didn't expect. SOOO glad I stayed away from spoilers on the
internet unlike RDR =( The connection between Ellie and Joel was great and the other characters too.
The little interactions during gameplay really added a Ton of immersion. To describe the story I would say it is a lot
like The Walking Dead on AMC. The infected are a part of the story BUT it's not the main attraction every second. Which
is nice to me. I enjoy a great story.
I easily give this game a 9.8 out of 10.
Minor minor minor flaws but excellent story and gameplay. Top contender for game of the generation imo.
Yes that's right game of the generation worthy. It stands with only a handful of games that can be put in that category.
Crazy to think how this game would have looked on PS4 considering it was already very amazing looking.

Lastly I will say that I hope Naughty Dog makes a Last of Us 2 on PS4 where Joel teaches Ellie how to swim and
play the guitar(Like he mentions in the game). I don't care how boring it would be. I want more!!!
