| QUOTE (Niko Vercetti 112 @ Saturday, Apr 13 2013, 15:34) | Wow I didn't think there would be such a negative thought to a GTA game in the past.
@ everyone asking, I define past as 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's. I don't think it could work in the 60's (maybe as a strech the late 60's) or prior. | Late 60s Frisco could work, with hippies and black panthers as peds. The cars would suck though. Tbh, I would also prefer that GTA continue to focus on the themes and culture of the present day. The world is more relatable and feels like less of a spoof/caricature. There are more ways to communicate and interact with a present day open world thanks to in-game cell phones, the internet, television, etc. A GTA protag without at least a pager and a payphone on every corner would feel very limited and isolated.
