First off, my game has no scratches on it.

It's either my computer hating me or my D: is acting like an idiot. It cannot read the disk. I cannot log in to social club even though I know my password. In fact, my D: cannot read ANY DISK AT ALL.

Help me someone!

(Sorry for the loudness, I really wanted to hit my face against a wall.) suicidal.gif

My D: is an HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GH50N. And you know what? My computer says it's running properly.

Well mate, if the drive doesn't run any DVDs, you'll probably have to replace it. It's a good thing the drive is the cheapest component out here.

what are your specs . is your dvd drive firmware up to date . is your drive correctly connected . sata sometimes disconnect alone with vibrations . check internet reviews of your drive and see if issues are reported before purchasing another one . eventually try another sata port

Make sure you check all your cables. Make sure the connection is tight between the motherboard and drive. If thats not the issue run a test with other types of disks. I find if running a test with the following: 1 Sony Black PS1 disk, CD-R disk, CD-RW disk, DVD-R Disk and a DVD-RW disk, it will show results. Ive had a drive be DVD but start only reading CD-R disks. Nothing else.
