Please … When POSTING PICTURES try to select 640x480 or smaller for “message boards and forums.” so as to not stretch the forum frame. Or just use a link. Wallpaper sized pictures aren’t kind to the forum frame. And lose their impact by the need to scroll.

Uninstall all mods and see if the game works without them. Besides, try removing the gta_sa.set file located in the San Andreas User Files folder.

Did you download or crack your game? Also what's your graphics card? Try upgrading its drivers.

When posting a problem, please, include the following information about your computer:
• Operating system (if you have XP, Vista, or Win7 and which Service Pack(s) is installed)
• Processor?
• Video Graphics card type?
• How much graphics memory, and is it Dedicated or Shared?
• RAM (random access memory)?
This information may also help to identify your problem.

PRE-TROUBLE-SHOOTING QUESTIONS:
If the game worked before, and have changed OS or Screen settings, If your system upgraded anything (drivers, etc) then the first step is to Delete the GTA_SA.set File. (The GTA_SA.set file is recreated at the end of each game play session. It contains OS data that may no longer be relevant.)

Are you playing the game in Vista/Win7 using
W98 (or XP) compatibility mode,
with Administrative Privileges?

And... before people here begin investing a lot of time trying to fix a possible NO-FIX situation:
What Version (retail, steam, other online store) Edition 1, 2, 3?)
Details of How you are playing:
1. With the Original DVD in the Drive?
2. OR are you Using a No-CD crack? (There is No fix to be found on this Forum.)
3. OR are you Using a 'backup' disc? (Fix is to use the Original DVD.)
4. OR do you have a Downloaded game from Direct2Drive, or SteamPowered.com
5. If none of the above, then what is the origin of your game? (Please be specific, as otherwise there may not be a fix to found on this Forum.)

In reply please, don't quote this large posting.

That is actually normal at random times on Lower-end systems(more specifically ones that have Intel/VIA/SIS Video cards...That is from experience...With no mods or trainers...So, it is possible on un-modded games... tounge2.gif

That didn't happen to me though.? I probably have the weakest PC here in the Forums before. tounge2.gif Also, I'm curious what causes the flickering bug? It happens to me once I use the 2GB MemFix CLEO from fastman. He might be using that aswell, that's why I asked him to take a screenshot of the flickering bug happening on a clean game.

But before that, what are your PC specs, hotdog125?

Actually, I think my old laptop is the weakest on the forum-however it still ran SA pretty well...AMD Sempron @798MHZ, 256MB ram(1GB now), an SIS/VIA video card w/32mb vram and XP Home SP2(SP3 now)... tounge2.gif lol.gif
