1st Cavalry Division (1st Air Cav - Airmobile) was created in honor of some of the greatest soldiers in history. 1st Cavalry Division was one of the most known division who served during Vietnam and still severing strong today. Theses soldiers took part in history and sacrificed their life's for our great country. War has changed through out the years, weapons and new technology has change the whole playing field but looking back Vietnam is still one of the most memorial wars that every took place along with WWI, WWII, etc. But although theses was such memorized wars people still are forgetting about the men who served and died for this country. Along with this (In Game) 1st Cavalry Division tries to honor some of our greatest heroes and teach recruits about real life military. Teaching Army values and tactics that is used in game ageist other gangs for competitions. Everything we do is for fun but at the same time to honor and remember all heroes who ever served in the greatest military, past and present.
Real Life - Vietnam
The 1st Cavalry Division ("First Team") is one of the most famous and most decorated combat divisions of the United States Army. It was formed in 1921 and saw service during World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf War, with the Stabilization Force in Bosnia-Herzegovina, in the Iraq War, and in the War in Afghanistan (2001-present). Of course we could sit here all day a talk about all theses wars but were going to skip to the most interesting, Vietnam.
1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile), commonly referred to as the 1st Air Cavalry Division was using helicopters as troop carriers. In 1965 colors and subordinate unit designations of the 1st Cavalry Division were transferred from Korea to Ft. Benning, Georgia, where they were used to reflag the existing the 2nd Infantry Division and the 11th Air Assault Division (Test), which were merged into single unit with the designation of 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile). Concurrently, the colors and subordinate unit designations of the 2nd Infantry Division were transferred to Korea to reflag what had been the 1st Cavalry Division. Shortly thereafter, the 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) began deploying to Camp Radcliffe, An Khe, Vietnam. The division, along with the 101st Airborne Division, perfected new tactics and doctrine for helicopter-borne assaults over the next five years in Vietnam. All aircraft carried insignia to indicate their battalion and company. The Division was equipped with the M16 rifle, the UH-1 troop carrier helicopter, the AH-1 attack helicopter, and the CH-47 Chinook cargo helicopter. Prior to deployment to Vietnam, the unit lost eighteen soldiers when two of its UH-1D helicopters collided during training operations on June 18, 1965 at Fort Benning, Georgia. Following deployment, the unit's first major operation was the Pleiku Campaign. During this action, the division conducted 35 days of continuous airmobile operations. The opening battle, the Battle of Ia Drang Valley, was described in the book We Were Soldiers Once...And Young which was also the basis of the subsequent Mel Gibson film We Were Soldiers. The unit also earned the first Presidential Unit Citation (US) presented to a division during the Vietnam War. Most of 1967 was spent in Operation Pershing. This was a large scale search of areas in II Corps which saw 5,400 enemy killed and 2,000 captured. The division re-deployed to Camp Evans, north of Hue in the I Corps Tactical Zone, during the 1968 Tet Offensive, involved in recapturing Quang Tri and Hue. After intense fighting in Hue, the division then moved to relieve Marine Corps units besieged at the Khe Sanh combat base (Operation Pegasus) in March 1968. The 1st Cavalry Division next conducted major clearing operations in the A Shau Valley from mid-April through mid-May 1968. From May until September 1968 the division participated in local pacification and "MedCap" (Medical outreach programs to offer medical support to the Vietnamese local population) missions I Corps. In the autumn of 1968, the 1st Cavalry Division relocated south to the III Corps Tactical Zone northwest of Saigon, adjacent to a Cambodian region commonly referred to as the "Parrots Beak" due to its shape. In May 1970, the division was among U.S. units participating in the Cambodian Incursion, withdrawing from Cambodia on 29 June. The division thereafter took a defensive posture while the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Vietnam continued. The bulk of the division was withdrawn on 29 April 1971, but its 3rd Brigade was one of the final two major U.S. ground combat units in Vietnam, departing 29 June 1972. Its 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry, as the main unit of Task Force Garryowen, remained another two months. - Wikipedia

Hahaha! The was awesome patriotic. I am looking to keep this gang and have it go places, I been working my ass off on the private forums and all ready have half of our training book completed. I am not trying to steal any of your stuff patriotic (even know I created it ) but US Cavalry is going to be alot like FORSCOM. Hell safe force right!
This looks great. There should be more military simulation teams on gta like this and FORSCOM. Most military clans on gta just call themselves militaries and soldiers but don't even use any military tactics or training (Drivebye101 would know a little bout this). Don't quit this cause it's a really good idea.

Please elaborate on your Extensive military training and tactics you received in your gang. I'm curious to see how much better your Training is than other gangs. By all means describe to me in full detail how your program is above the other gangs because I for one, am intrigued. Oh and i know what you mean about military gangs not acting in the "Militaristic" fashion, it really grinds my gears

Yeah can't be to careful with those training secrets, i here theres a bandit going around documenting how every gang does there "Training Sessions". I'll be honest i never spent any time on GTA pretending i was a soldier or street thug, i just played and because how i new how the game with a group of guys who knew the basics of the game. Being able to corner shoot, rush, and lag shoot are a few tips i suppose; but why make a big deal out of them? Unless your god awful at the game you really should spend less time trying to get better and do something more constructive with your time like making pancakes or digging holes in the ground.
Some people are good at video games, some are not.
No ones training is better. Every one training teaches different skills, tactics, and techniques. I mean personally I am teaching what I learned in JROTC, prior military simulation team, and from my active duty family members. And some military gangs are more "Militaristic" then others, its depending on how much experience you have, hell I never served in the military. I don't know how it feels to serve, to miss your family and to kill people like that but like I said to people before I have active duty family members who served over seas and I raised around a military family.
FORSCOM training in my mind is more around the game and the whole winning TDM type thing. I'm not saying theirs is better or any of the gangs of theses forums. I just know that US Cav training is created around teaching military realism (things like 9 line medevac for example). Something you don't see in other gangs and something that not everyone will be interested in. I created this gang to have a tight family of friends who are patriotic for their country and the service men who serve it.
Edit: Belgium, I don't think its acting like a soldier and if it is then that's f*cked up cause your trying to act like something your not. Soldiers sacrifice so much I just down on people who lie or act like their something they are not. It is GTA and the whole gang thing is around role playing but for military I think its more about the competition. If your in a mafia then that's a difference story cause I do think you do have to play the whole role of a mobster and role play.
