i bought GTA 3 and i click on play icon and it keeps saying Grand Theft Auto 3 requires at least 12mb of available video memory

help me out please!

Ways to solve it found overt the internet:

1. Try to run game on XP compatibility mode
2. Install older DirectX like 8.1
3. Turn off netmeeting if you're using such a program.
4. Change your desktop colors to 16-bit color.

Install GTA 3 Patch 1.1 if it isn't, and make sure to update your GPU driver, from the HP website.

Have you tried my suggestions? it seems that this problem is caused from either no/outdated GPU driver, or a cracked game. As for the latter, just to check, does the game require Disk 2 to run?

Just to check, this error also occurs when the game is cracked. Does the game runs without the disk?

Can you run any other (3D) games? It looks like your video card driver is not installed.
