If GTA is going for realism I really can't find it believable that some middle aged man is runnin around stealing cars and climbing buildings. Do you think that it will be like Max Payne where there's an old man blazing bullets like an acrobat? What kid wants to play as a middle aged boring white guy anyway?

I want a hot young guy with rippling abs to be the protagonist. Because that's all that matters, right? What he looks like or how old he is? Ooh I hope he has a good personality, if not then im totally not interested in the game, AT ALL.

Just kidding, it is a video game, not everything needs to be very realistic. Although, I do not want anyone over 45 years old. That would just suck. Because he would look very old and not very fun to dress and pimp his cars

Characters is what makes the game. Everyone has their favorite and least favorite.

But a middle aged man who is crying about a divorce doesn't interest me and doesn't make a very good story.

Kids shouldn't be playing this game. Period. You little sh*ts infest the multiplayer with, "HOW DO I DO THIS AHHHHH!" or "GAY IS THE ONLY ADJECTIVE I KNOW!".

I highly doubt that R* would take that into consideration considering that kids aren't the target audience. Besides, how can you call him boring considering you know absolutely nothing about the character or his personality.

From the trailer there are two possible protagonist. The Mexican in the Red Car or Balcony Guy. Let's just assume there is just one protag.

I'd actually prefer BG over MiRC. BG is in his late thirties, early forties. The most bad-ass movie characters are this age. (Think John McClane, Dirty Harry, Vincent Vega and Jules Winfield, Tony Montana). Any character under 30 would just not be awesome. An early twenty-something is basically just a kid. I don't want to play a kid... I want to play as a man...

The idea of playing as a mature, 'family man' is a much more enticing concept than playing as some music video extra 'gangbanger' just out of puberty.

It doesn't sound like you even played MP3, much less "know" what people want to play as. Max Payne is one of the best characters of any Rockstar game. In fact, the only character that comes close in terms of badass quality is John Marston from RDR, another older character. I have yet to see ANY bad reviews of the game, or ANY negative criticism of the character of Max Payne, from any respected game reviewer. The only people complaining are a bunch of underaged trolls who have made this forum their personal playground.

Old man to me is...60-70 years old. I don't think the guy on the balcony is old. Sure he looks like he's in his 40's/50's but that isn't that old...

Let's look at the age of previous protagonist:

Claude - I'd say he's 25-30
Tommy Vercetti - 35
CJ - 24
Niko - 30
Johnny - 34
Luis - 25

I think having a 40-50 year old protagonist would definitely be part of R*'s "bold new direction". The youngest we've had is 24 year old and oldest being 35.
