What makes you nostalgic?

I'm only 14, but I used too rent those goosebumps movies back when I was younger (sometimes renting the same movie for weeks on end) and I used too watch it on the VHS tape and cardboard box it came in on my boxy Television set. I really missed those great memories, and here are some of my favorite goosebumps

So what reminds you guys of being a young child? smile.gif

Another nostalgia topic, but I'll bite.

Anyone remember when these were actually cool...

...it was short live for me. I remember trading in the parachute pants for ripped jeans and a flannel shirt.

Edit: it's funny to see you kids now a days try to recapture that era in fashion by wearing bright colors and various choice peices of that aren't too ballsy. But none of them have the balls to wear parachute pants.

(I don't want to post too many videos so I'll just post links)
Video game of my childhood: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=playe...d&v=lan9HuAAJS4
Don't judge me - It's very nostalgic to me for some reason, it's one of the many late 90s/early 2000s songs I have ingrained in my head (it's a pretty cool song too): http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=playe...d&v=9wfpXI5PKlw
One of the shows I used to watch when I was younger, so beautiful: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYPkH8gPDps

Yeeees, crash was the second game I got from the Videoclub when we got the PS2 back in 2003. Good old times!!!

I was 9 back then....
I also have many great memories from the PS2 demo disk {SmackDown, Soul Reaver 2, Airblade}.

My cousin had the first one and my dad surprised me with this. This took me ages to complete. I love how there's different type of costumes you can wear. Wow, how much the Spider-Man games have changed from then..

Lmfao, I had a terrible experience with this game, I'll tell you that..

Not so long ago (stopped maybe 4/5 years ago) I would sit in the living room of my dad's apartment and watch television for hours at night. I remember cycling through the 'good' channels and watching whatever looked good. Whenever I watch TV I can't not think about those times.

Since we moved watching TV has never been the same, and a couple months ago we got rid of that entertainment stand by tearing it apart, when it was fully demolished I saw a note written on the inside in sharpie. Apparently it was a gift to my dead mother after she moved to Florida.

Kind of lame that one of my more nostalgic moments is watching TV in a crappy apartment, but 'tis the way of the world.

-

Also tons of commercials, which is probably even sadder.
-There were a bunch for train-related things. ^ tounge2.gif
-The ones that came with all of the Pokemon VHSs I had. (Especially that one about the Pokemon on the bus)
-Temperpedic Beds. All the time.

Wrestling was not worth the watch anymore after he left the spotlight. ;(

There was a full-blown black market operating in Crazy Bones in my primary school. I remember kids fighting over "Sharkies" and generally getting turned into wee bastards by these things.

Christ, there's a lot of things that bring back great memories, but they're mainly television programmes. I see someone's already mentioned the original power rangers. I used to watch that show religiously; I used to own the white power ranger suit and I used to collect the posters and memorabilia. I think once they started to phase out the original cast it just got worse and I was left disappointed.

I have my doubts as to whether anyone has watched this show but I remember that this was on CITV every Friday dinner time. It brings back so many great memories of my early childhood! biggrin.gif

Anybody remember Bernard's watch? Used to love that show as well, and used to dream of being able to stop time haha.
