Hi everyone,

I just wanted to remove some objects (like trees, palms, trash bag etc.) from the GTA: San Andreas map in order to make it feel just like the PS2 version.
I'm able to remove it wherever I want thanks to Map Editor v0.32; it modifies the .IPL file located in DATA\MAPS\LA\LAe2.ipl for instance.
The fact is when I replace my modified files by the original files of which I made a backup, the objects I removed are still deleted on map even if I restore the original .IPL file.
I always add/backup the .IDE file also just to be sure everything is alright.

I think that the issue come from the gta3.img, I wanted to know what file is saved when I modify an .IPL just to make an usefull backup first, and then to know what file(s) I really modify.

Thanks in advance, have a good day.

gta3.img contains *-stream.ipl files e.g. LAe2_stream1.ipl but i don't think that MEd can modify these
To check out if it is possible, try to remove the f*ckcar in Ryders garden (3593, la_f*ckcar2)

ok, you said you've a modded LAe2.ipl and an unmodded LAe2.ipl but the game applies always the modded one
please put both files into a zip and uploade it to a file host for download
then i can have a look

I'm sure it does because my gta3.img's size is changed to 937 689 088 bytes instead of 937 680 896 (original one).
So, all the modifications I made are 'located' in the -stream.ipl files as you said, thanks for that!
Anyway, here you go: LAe2.ipl (I have already removed the f-ckcar2 in Ryder's garden, I'm done with LAe2 so you can check now, but i'm pretty sure you'll need my stream.ipl file to see what I removed from the map)

I just found another 'bug' or whatever, on my Map Editor, the Burger Shot (where OG Loc works) located in West LS is deleted or do not appear; and in my game it actually appears. Strange. I'm sure I not deleted it.
Thanks for your answering ZAZ! suicidal.gif

Alright, I have all the PS/2 files from the original disc. I replaced e.g. LAe2_stream1.ipl, LAe2_stream2.ipl, etc. (all the LAe2 ipl files) from my original PC gta3.img to the one from PS/2 (noticed there is two gta3.img, and gta3_1.img, both are the same size and files). So only LAe2 fileshave been replaced. Take in mind that PS/2 has 8 ipl files concerning LAe2; and PC only 6. I also replaced the DATA\MAPS\LA\LAe2 files. The game crashed. I added then the two extra ipl files on PS/2 andthe game still crashed. Could someone help me on this one? I remember I want the original PS/2 map (with some objects removed) on my PC.

I created a new post otherwise nobody would see my edited previous post, so don't blame me for that.
