So, I generally have phases of gaming I get into; I got wrapped up in Fallout, I played the hell out of Deus Ex, I got stuck in Dwarf Fortress for awhile, and damnit--I'm back to the sweet sweet embrace of grand theft auto.

Now, While I was in my fallout phase; I found an MMO called "Fallout 2 Online" or something along those lines--Still played today, that took Fallout 2, and made it into an MMO. It's still quite active and very very interesting.

I've heard of roleplay servers for the various grand theft auto games, and I never got to experience them for myself; but--With such a robust and easily accesible (and now free) game such as grand theft auto 2; I'm wondering if anyone is doing something like this for GTA2? And, if not--How can I help and who's willing to get this started?

Start coding. In 13 years no one has made 2 player GTA2 work without port forwarding or VPNs. I'd expect that to happen long before an MMO.

Why is it gone? GTA2 is a pretty epic little piece of software.

For a multiplayer community, the number 200 is very low.

For an old game 200 is good.
