Hi there!
I've got a little graphic problem and it seems GTAForums is the best place to ask about something like this.

http://i49.tinypic.com/9pqnoh.png

As you can see, textures look really low-quality. I've tried changing settings, and even the StreamMemFix, but nothing seems to work.

Have anyone experienced this issue? If so, did you solve it? How?

Specs:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bits
NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT - 1GB
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000 @ 2.60GHZ (no overclock)
The only mod I installed is SA-MP and the StreamMemFix.

Also, standalone version. Not steam.

EDIT: Please … When POSTING PICTURES try to select 640x480 or smaller for “message boards and forums.” so as to not stretch the forum frame. Or just use a link.

Hmm, tried turning Frame Limiter ON / OFF? Where have you got the game from? Do you have any mods installed? Tried removing the gta_sa.set file located in the San Andreas User Files folder? Has this problem happened before? Tried updating the video drivers?

i've always played with frame limiter off, as it seems to cap a lot of FPS. The problem started maybe after I installed Windows 7 64 bits, as I previously had 32 bits version. The game, I got it from a retail DVD. I've used it for years and it's in perfect condition. Drivers are up-to-date. Gonna try the Frame limiter and gt_sa.set thing and brb.

Hmm, hope those help. If not, try also turning ON / OFF Anti-Aliasing too. Maybe try defragging your PC as well.

Tried all those and the issue doesn't seem to go away. Could it be i've got an IDE drive? I guess not tho. I used to play it in an USB drive and had no problems at all.
I'm really starting to guess it's a 64-bit related thing. Is there any compatibility issues?

It should work on any OS, but try to run it in different compatibility modes. Try also playing in 32-bit or even 16-bit and see if that helps. Try also increasing / decreasing the draw distance. You also should check this out:

1) Right Click on "My Computer"
2) Click on "Properties"
3) Then Click on "Advanced Settings"
4) Under Performance, on the visual tab click on "Adjust for Best Performance"
5) Click OK.

Sorry to hear that. Just try one more thing, who knows, go to "Options > Display setup > Advanced > Resolution" change from 1024x768x16 to 1024x768x32.

Heh. No luck. It just looks reaaally bad and it doesn't seem to fix anything. I'll keep trying things and maybe get it to work properly. If I find the solution, I'll obviously post it here if someone's got the same issue.
Thank you very much, miromiro. Is there any rating/feedback system so I can upvote you or something?

Did you 'crack' the game, if so remove it and play with the DVD.
Have you tried W98 or XP Mode?

You are not the only person. All over the internet many people are having the same problem. Its because San Andreas was made for a 32 bit computer not 64 and plus its from 2004 so it was never designed for 64 bit computer since not many people had one at the time. Al well here's some cookies I hope you find a way to solve your problem cookie.gif cookie.gif cookie.gif cookie.gif

Low and Medium FX settings usually cause this but this seems to be some corrupt file, you're missing the cop car textures. As a measure you could try reinstalling the game if you've tried Very High settings.

miromiro asked it, but i'll ask too, do you have mods installed? I remember seeing a vehicle.txd file which did that to my game. Try uninstalling, after that's done, access your directory where you installed the game and delete any leftovers. After that, reinstall.
