I think of Persia, the first empire in known history.
Iran has a good soccer team. I remember watching Masoud Shojaei score that goal in Korea.
The Iranian government wasn't always extremely conservative.

Oh and Babylon doesn't exist anymore, does it? And Egypt had a different name. Egypt wasn't always Misr. But Iran was called Iran even in the Behistun inscription.
