cool idea.. but sounds like a lot of work to make it if it doesn't play a major role in the story. And kind of eerie to have a themepark without children indeed .
For those that say that the fact that the amusement park not working in IV was stupid, let me give you a little info as I live in the Coney Island area. It is a mix of the former Astroland and the park next door called Deno's Wonder Wheel Park. Deno's may be bought up next year.
First off, IV obviously takes place in the cold time of the year. The amusement park is not open during that time.
Second, at the time that IV was made, the area was going through a transition period. The 3rd one actually. Astroland, the park you see in IV, was purchased by Thor Equities and some other people in an attempt to build condo's and whatnot in the area. (Like we were going to let that happen). Anywhoo, Astroland was closed in 2007 (i think. I forget), and was replaced a year later by some bootlegged park called Dreamland. That name makes me wanna throw up.
Third, the current, and much better, park is Luna park. The second one to be in the area as the first one was burned down. Now if LC was used again, Luna park would be the park they used and if it took place in the summer, it would be open. And maybe an ACTUAL rendition of Coney Island and a peninsula with just a beach.
Just my 2 cents, carry on.

I don't get the whole Glory Hole thing though. I like the idea of a theme park, but felt that the Glory Hole stuff was one of their weaker parodies. Considering the rumours about Walt Disney, that he was a Nazi sympathiser who had his head cryogenically frozen, couldn't they come up with something better than a cheap sexual pun? My point is that I'd rather see an intelligent satire on the sickly sweet Disney brand than more childish scatalogical humour.

The Theme park on the Santa Monica Pier will be in the game (Pacific Park) So i dont really see them having another huge amusement park/carnival when there already is one. It would be cool if it was there though. Would be a fun place to have a gun fight in a mission.

It would be fun to ride the rides, and also be able to control them, Haha! It would be epic to stop the ride manually with people in it upside down and shoot it with a rocket launcher.
yup i think this topic is good oh and just to make sure there's another reference to the Park here it is it's from the trailer when the ?Protag? is riding dirty in is Audi R8
Thank you. I hadn't noticed that before, but at least this is something LEGIT, unlike the usual "speculation" that gets promoted as fact on this forum. While i find it odd that a Glory Hole sign is prominently above what looks like storefront property that is part of a building, at least it is clearly visible. Perhaps it is a souvenir shop, and that building is near the amusement pier. The trailer also clearly showed the amusement pier in the background as well. I really believe there IS a Glory Hole theme park, and i'd be SHOCKED if it was abandoned like the one in GTAIV.

I just want to say a genuine thanks for all that detail you posted there. Quite interesting.
I've tried explaining multiple times why GTA:IV's Firefly Island was closed, but to no avail. People still seem to want to rip on GTA:IV's non working amusement park despite it's incredibly authentic depiction of being closed and the resultant atmosphere it gives the area.

Can never have too much glory hole I learnt the toe tap in the bathroom stall
Why do you always have something stupid to say?
On-topic: what I find most interesting is that we see no signs whatsoever of a theme park in Trailer #1. Disneyland and Disneyworld are typically very large establishments - the one in Florida actually has its own incorporated municipality.
The monorail observation is a good one too, because there were no monorails in MP3 but there are monorails in California. Could this be a sign of a "Glory Hole Amusement Park"? Could this be indicative of San Fierro, or just the existence of other cities in general?
Another place we haven't seen is LAX airport. I wonder why? Is there something they are hiding that is related to the airport?

Well, Disneyland without kids would be pretty weird, and as GTA V probably won't have kids, no, I don't think it'll be in the game.
The game could disable weapons when you're inside an amusement park. It could be a destination to hang around with friends and girlfriends. And imagine the cockpit view of the rides while hearing the screams and loud conversations with your friends.
However, late at night would be a different story. Weapons wouldn't be disabled at this time. How about tying a victim to the front of a roller coaster?
