I've just spent the last hour trying to configure my wired 360 controller to San Andreas to no avail. I've tried Xmapper and Joy2Key and have had no sucess... It's very frustrating. Is there an easy way to configure my 360 controller so all the buttons can be mapped properly?

Failing that do you know of any controllers/gamepads with the same layout as the PS3 or Xbox 360 which just work without me having to scour forums and download software which quite frankly doesn't work or is far to confusing for the average gamer.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

A Generic Gamepad is much less troublesome:
USB Logitech ® Dual Action or Seitec Gamepad worked for me without using any special drivers. PlugNPlayed fine.
