I really hope you guys are trolling because if you're not you really need to get a life. No disrespect but if you want all this crap I gotta ask is it a video game you want ? Or are you trying to replace you're real life with a video game ? I've spent hours on end playing gta. Never once did I think.
"You know what would make this game fun not being able to doing anything and all ways having the cops chase you"
You guys need to think about what you're asking for. Play driver parrell lines. That game is hell to play but you guys would like it. Because you can't do anything that won't result in police chasing you. I had to put in like 5 cheats just to play that broken down piece of sh*t they claimed was an open world game |
This.
It's just hard sometimes to actually believe it.

@OP, no thanks buddy.

Personally. I really believe that a game that was based on real life is what is needed for the video game world.
I think it would be ground breaking!
An open world for the player to explore, and able to do absolutely anything they want. A life simulator if you will. The Sims, with a GTA touch.
Imagine a game for one second.
You start off in an open world living in a tent in the woods. Basically, you begin your journey as a hobo. With 5 dollars to your name that you begged for the day before.
You own nothing but clothing and a tent. Your character CAN die. He must eat.
And you can do anything you want to do. There are jobs in the game presented as mini games. There are job interviews in the game presented as mini games. You can rob houses. Kill people if you wish. Whatever you choose to do. Its your second life. And it is as true to life as one can imagine.
Thats the game I truly want to see. And if I had enough money I would create a video game studio and develop such a game. If I ever have enough money, we are talking millions of dollars here, I would create the game myself, with the risk of going bankrupt. Just because I know what a hit it would be.
Listen, If I said to you, lets create a video game about a juvenile kid who goes to boarding school. We'll have him do classes, fight bullies, steal from lockers, etc. You would probably laugh in my face.
But Bully was a great game and that was the whole premise of it.
I'm sick and tired of people giving the lame-ass response of "ITS A VIDEO GAME". Video games have come a long way. And if every idea that somebody came up with since pong was shot down on the basis of "ITS A VIDEO GAME", Grand Theft Auto wouldn't even exist.
/rant. | Trust me bro, you're gonna go bankrupt real soon because 99% of the population dont want to play video games just to get back to real life. They want to get away from real life and indulge in activities impossible to do in real life. GTA VC and SA were great. I have no idea why you want to create a life simulator. Games are there to make great innovative ideas come to life, not to emulate reality.

Think about the majority of the side missions. Just about all of them are based on menial jobs people do for a living. They're just given the GTA touch. A game like Skyrim is obviously a break from reality, but the GTA series has always been borderline IMO.

I play a lot of sports games to simulate real life, and also flight/train simulators, sim city etc. However, GTA is not a simulator, and never will be. For those talking about a life simulator game, it would be great, but it wouldn't be GTA.

The thing about making the law just like real life is that you'd be getting wanted stars for EVERYTHING! You can forget about murder, if the people who want jail time have their way you'd be sentenced to life for every kill and would have to reload an old save or start a new game. Forget getting away with speeding or vandalism too, those would get you two stars. You'd have cops after you for loitering, you'd have them after you for breaking curfew, you'd have them on you for stepping on someone else's lawn, hell, look or walk suspiciously and you'll be thrown in the back of a cop car. You know how in IV you get busted if you bump a cop 3 times? Well, with real life laws, bumping one once could get you into trouble, so I hope none of you like running fast near on foot patrols. Climbing on top of a car? Disturbing the peace. Hit and run? You better not even scratch other cars.
Basically, forget about GTA style crime, there would be no way. They'd mark your license plate and keep chasing you like in mafia II (Annoying by the way) if you steal one. Commit any murder or act of violence or even vandalism? Police take your ID and chase you whenever they see you. Staying out late would get you tickets. Basically this sh*t would make crime impossible, never mind GTA style crime.
