Is there a way to fix a corrupt game save? Is there specific program or something to do so?

If someone would like to give me the link to the program it would be really helpful.

Or if someone would want to just take my game save and fix it.

If it is in fact corrupt, nothing can help it. Just go to your last save. This is why it's recommended to rotate slots. But I've never seen a GTA3 save go corrupt.

San Andreas crashed and I had to restart. (pressing button on front)

It corrupted my user files. All my settings where lost and would stay the same. Luckly I restarted again and the scan thing fixed it.

@ Demarest: Yes it says "save file is corrupted" because when i was saving, it just crashed and unhandled exception came up.

I was saving it mostly on this save file. Now i realize my mistake.

That sucks. However, one thing I like about GTA3 is that it's relatively small, so even starting over from 99% isn't that big of a deal

I did almost everything on that save. Every hidden package, rampage, unique jump, taxi fares... etc. I still would like to fix that save. I probably spent at least 4 hours on it. If anyone would like to suggest a program that would help me fix my save, please do so. Thanks

Perhaps your desire to not lose your data is clouding your cognitive skills. There IS no program. The data in your save is incomplete because something happened when it was saving or whatever. You can't use it. But keep asking if it makes you feel better

I guess it kind of makes me feel better to keep asking. In the mean time, I'll just have to use my last save.

Chin up. It doesn't take long and the game's a lot of fun to play. You REALLY don't want to know how many times I've played through even to 100%

Probably about 15. 10 or so of which were purely for time-trial purposes. My best yet is 8h 21m.

Granted, I haven't bothered to complete the game 100%, myself, even though I love the game. But wouldn't that get boring by the 2nd or 3rd time?

It might become boring, but it was probably why Demarest made such a good GTA 3 walkthrough.

-Yes it's true that I have a 2nd account on here. But I registered a long time ago and forget what my username was. I haven't posted here in like 3 years. If I remembered it I would use that instead

-In any case at all, you have no right to judge me in any way, shape, or form based on my post count. That is just immature.

-There is no need or justification in banning. I was only asking a question

-I don't 'suck at' or 'dislike' gta3. I simply don't make my career out of playing it.
