Hey, he's right. IV was a horror show before the what, 7 patches?(1.0.7.0).
Still a lot of bugs.
Memory streaming issues, lots of them.
Dull car reflections, unlike on the PS3/360 version.(luckily this can fixed).
Gray ped LODS, cars not having rims far away, just tires/brakedisks

I have VC v.1.

I've looked at all the pictures for all the complaints and it's still my favor-
ite GTA. If unrealistic building sizes (among various unrealistic things) made a
GTA unplayable, you couldn't play one. I remember noticing years ago how small
the skyscraper roofs were in SA--one looked like you could fit an elevator in it
with a little area around it for a landing to let you look out the windows. True
to life skyscrapers would be huge in comparison. I didn't bother me--I like the
surreal worlds they create.

If unrealistic stuff bugs you, don't play the GTA series. Also, R* has ported many non-VC and non-IV games just fine, so don't say that they can't port stuff.

Radioman, were you here when III/VC/SA was first released? VC and SA had an unnecessarily higher system requirements than III, yet they were all ported from the PS2 version on the same graphics engine. How do you not consider them as poor ports? If your computer can play them, it doesn't mean everyone else can play them. My computer back then couldn't even play VC and crashed when playing III. Forget about playing SA, I had to buy a new computer for it. Why would you want to compare the previously tested Renderware engine to the untested RAGE engine? There is no way that IV can remotely run on single core no matter how optimized it can be. MP3 is a corridor shooter and it needs a dual core minimum! And how is supplying only ONE patch a good thing at all? It means R* didn't care about the PC fanbase back then. III/VC and especially SA was plagued with problems on the PC. R* actually cared when IV was released, with more graphical options, direct support in the forums for the first time, and fixes to glitches with each patch. Do people not want that? If more patches equates to a poorer quality program, what can you say about every other programs out there like Chrome or Steam that supply constant patches? I had no problems running IV at all on this cheap factory-built PC so I don't understand how the game can get this much hate while the older GTA PC don't. With all this negativity towards IV PC, I'm not surprised R* wouldn't release RDR on the PC.
