i love gta2 and would love nothing more than to be able to play it online.
problem is, i've tried it with 3 different people and it just runs slow, even with both players on dsl.
any ideas why it would run slow on multiplayer and how to improve this??

Need a ping under 100ms. Play someone closer and don't download while playing.

Wow. Haven't played GTA2 multiplayer in 5 years. Would love to play again. So if anybody wants to play, I'm game. In case it matters, I have Optimum Online, so my connection is excellent.

Hi all. I happen to see that their are other people who still play this. I dowloaded the GTA2 Game hunter and i can see other games but cannot join. I cant host either becasue i dont have dial up so, will i not be able to host? Or is their something i can do?

Dialup and GTA2 don't mix, you need broadband for a decent ping. If you can't join games then you need to forward ports on your router and disable your firewall. Check http://gtamp.com/router.htm for more information.

Cool thanks thats what i thought i should do. But what about hosting a game? It wants me to set up a modem is there a way around it or a different way to host?

Hosting and joining require a correctly setup router.

Yeah... I think we'll just deside a time so we all can play together... well... We just need C.E.T(Central Europe Time(London)) so everybody can just add some hours 2 it.!!!
