The thingy in mispad... program > "rigister .mis file type and give it nice icon."

It says "i might need to start windows for the new icons to look correct".
I cant even choose one, how to use this option!

I would love to give a .mis file one of my nice selfmade icons, mainly to show it off, lol, if it would shown on others PC's.

And cant think of a better place to post this question.

If it has to do with my operating system, its just an win xp service pack 2.

You can't embed a Windows explorer viewable icon into files that aren't executable by Windows.

You can give any extension an icon by changing settings in the registry but that will only be noticable on the computers with those registry changes. That option in mispad is supposed to give the mispad icon to .mis files and isn't for letting you choose an icon. The icon would only be viewable on computers that run mispad and select that option.
