Hello About A two months before i have told that i can max out gta 4 on nvidia gt 520 by overclocking it but later i found out that overclocking decreases life of the gpu.
Ok but now I downclocked everything to normal
But my problem is that the nvidia gt 520 should have a memory bandwidth of 14.4 gbps but my gpu has only 8.5 gbps (checked by GPU-Z)
So I cant understand the problem.
I have done a fresh install of the new nvidia driver 304.82 from nvidia website. But I have no luck.
I know that in gpu-z the memory clock that is shown should be multiplyed by 2 which is 1066 mhz but if in have 1066 mhz then it should have:
(1066x64) / 8x2= 17.0 gbps
But in gpu-z it is showing 8.5 gbps(half)
So Please Help me And i have also matched the minimum system requirements of the NVIDIA gt 520

Mu PC Spec-
CPU- Intel® Core™ 2 Quad Q9650 3.00 GHz
RAM- 4GB DDR2 800 MHz
GPU- Zotac GT 520 2GB DDR3
PSU- 500 Watt
Motherboard- Gigabyte G31M-ES2L Supports PCI-E 1.1

Great Thanks

...ROTFL! That's pure bullsh*t. There is no way in hell that GT520 is able to max out GTA4 even after extreme OC.

I have no idea about gbps, but the nvidia gt 520 will in no way max out gta4, only low to medium settings at best.

If it's a Palit, then it's exactly as listed on the website. I'm not sure why it's functioning as a DDR2 GPU [Memory Clock: 535MHz (DDR 1070MHz)], while it's listed in the specs that it's DDR3. confused.gif

It is probably a bug in gpu-z. You are obsessed with numbers when it is practical performance that is important. The rest of your system is fairly decent, so i would advise to get a new gpu, such as gtx 460 or better. Talking of numbers, it is the 2nd digit that indicates the power of the gpu, for nvidia and amd, the first being the series number, also 1Gb video ram is enough.

No its not Palit, its Zotac and here is the official website

http://www.zotac.com/index.php?product_id=...1&Itemid=100200

There in the specification tab it is written that its memory clock is 1066 MHz = 17.0 Gbps but i get only 533 MHz = 8.5 Gbps
Please help me

533MHz is the real memory clock, while 1066MHz is the effective memory clock. Effective clock is basically the real clock doubled. 533 * 2 = 1066, so everything's fine.

Hello At that time I had the pirated version of gta 4 but now I brought it from a store and I am not using any crack now.
Because the pirated gta 4 was not running well and it gave me very less fps.

But after I upgraded my CPU and RAM I thought to buy the game also because it it is only RS 250 at our Area
And I have understood that pirated game copies are not good because it gave me error that gta 4 has stopped working but after buying original game the error vanished. And I have Updated GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 ans updated GFWL So I am running GTA IV without any issue.

And the last thing is that the time when i posted that forum I didn't knew that pirated GTA Questions are not allowed but after mkey82 had
told I realised it and brought the Game.

So I am thanking to mkey82 very much because he has made me realised that pirating is a very bad thing.

mkey82 thanks again very much biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
