While in Bullitt, which I just got on LD and watched the past month... Steve McQueen is a real racing driver, that added honest integrity to the role. I haven't really followed Ryan Gosling enough to know if he knows how to handle a car. If you saw the Behind the Scenes about the Bourne movies, it was nice to see Matt Damon expressing the joys of getting paid to have fun with cars, That would be a hoot!

Yeah, it does add some integrity the role. Although, in Bullitt, the driver in the car chases were usually Bud Elkins.

I'm looking forward to this film more due to the fact that Nicolas Winding Refn is back in the directorial hot-seat, and so far every film of his that I've seen, I have thoroughly enjoyed; the Pusher trilogy, Bleeder, Bronson and Valhalla Rising.

This is one of the few movies that has come out recently that I can't wait to watch. I enjoyed Pusher and Bleeder, so I won't be surprised if this is another great movie to come from Refn. It's also been getting really good reviews too, so it sounds like it's going to be worth the money to go see.

Anywho, The reviews are Love it or Hate it, it would seem, the film results are lack-luster at best this year, they're hurting.

The morning show radio commenting on it saying "Who'd get tired of making millions of dollars"?? As well, acting or movie making is something a few actors love doing, and as point of the example, Sean Connery gave it up ....all of it, because he hated it, basically! hahaha

Brilliant film, it is a startling violent portrait of a simple man whose life revolves around driving. Whether he is driving for a Hollywood production or a couple of hoodlums, Ryan Gosling's driver is a dry, introverted human being whose micro-emotions are the only visible sign of normality. Alongside Gosling, Refn and his team have created a film that can only be described as a technical marvel. Beautiful cinematography, inch-perfect editing and a soundtrack which scribes some 1980s sensibilities into the cinematic proceedings.

Wonderful Movie. saw it with some friends and the rest called it slow and boring. I called them slow and boring.

I can't get over how much I enjoyed this film.

I thought it was a bit indulgent at times; characters staring wantonly at one each others' faces or gazing off into the distance for far longer than comfortable. Especially when one of those faces in the dour, pouty, Carrie Mulligan. Fantastically shot, though, and Gosling was so. frigging. cool. For a guy with obvious mental issues.

Loved the soundtrack, except for the "real human beings" track.

Loved this movie! The first 5 minutes where it cut into the credits was amazing. This movie reminded me of GTA Vice City a little ha. I loved the vibe and the soundtrack.

I really enjoyed Drive. It's a slow-burner but every minute is so enthralling, thanks to a wonderful combination of directing style, soundtrack and homage. Ryan is a great nameless character, and as opposed to people like The Man With No Name, Gosling's few words actually make him come off as a softer person than his actions portray. The violence shows it's toll on the characters, and every bit of action that's juxtaposed with surrounding scenes of slow-paced build-up comes off gritty and emotional.

Definitely see this in theatres if you get the chance.

Yeah, I just watched it. Best movie I've seen lately. It's definitely an artist kind of movie. I loved the whole 80's vibe to it as well! The soundtrack was also amazing!

Basically, from my TV previews I saw, the story meanders a bit, and people felt it got ultra violent, as I stated prior, but I'm certainly not one to think Critics have the last word, but in the TV bit I was watching, they asked movie goers AFTER the presentation, for their views, so it makes you wonder then, bad audience?

Quite frankly, Drive is one of the best movies of the year so far. Superb in every way.

I'm pretty sure Slamman is just a negative nancy. Drive is what I've been waiting for from Hollywood for some time now. Something original.

Saw Drive last night. Amazing. Loved the soundtrack too. I described it to my girlfriend as if 80's action flick thriller music evolved in to the 00's. The music during the credits was superb. Loved the title fonts, Vice City anyone?

The color grading really suited the film too. Kind of oranges and blues. The violent parts were really surprising and were nice and graphic but short and sweet.

I actually liked that track more than the others!

Watched this yesterday. Loved it. I have always been a fan of such no-nonsense type of films. Ryan Gosling played the character with aplomb. I would highly recommend this to anyone who hasn't caught it yet.
