Can't remember what mission but gay Tony said something about London..how he will never go back there...which is weird cause I've never heard any talk about the real world before in GTA, only hear them talking about the GTA cities...anyone care to share their theories?

I would. If it weren't for the fact that you are wrong. Other cities have been mentioned several times as well as by pedestrians. Some pedestrians can be heard saying: That's crazy, I'm moving back to Cleveland. Also... London is the location for the first ever GTA, that's not strange.

I believe the mission text/conversation in said mission (Chinese Takeout) goes:

Luis: "Hey, what about that thing in London? That going to pull us through this?"
Tony: "Didn't I tell you? Sh*t, London ain't happening. And I wouldn't travel to that side of the pond any time soon. If you were thinking about it."

Two thoughts came to my mind when I first heard this:
1. (Outside of storyline) Rockstar are hinting at the fact that they will not remake GTA:London anytime soon.
2. (Inside of storyline) Tony may at one point have thought about moving/expanding his nightclub chain to London to make more money, but with the Recession causing economic instability on both sides of the Atlantic (also globally), now would not be the right time to start up a new business over seas (despite Yusuf Amir really wanting to franchise the clubs).

I agree with AlexGTAGamer, I thought it may have been Rockstar's way of saying that another GTA in London won't be happening, or at least not yet.

And as mentioned, real life cities and other places are mentioned often. In IV, I remember Minneapolis, Detroit, Paris, and Chicago mentioned, and I'm sure there's more.

London still exists in the GTA universe even if it's not the same as shown in GTA: London. A poster says there are Maisonette 9 clubs in London and Las Venturas in addition to Liberty City.

Theres one thing I'll say for the GTA: London discussion topic here, now the reason and I Mean the MAIN reason rockstar would not recreate GTA London is, quite simply... The Getaway and The Getaway Black Monday. However, the longer people wait to hear news of The Getaway 3, the more likely that a GTA London could possibly be treated to a 3d overhaul, very unlikely, but thats my estimation anyway.

Most likely isn't going to happen though!

On the radio they've mentioned other places numerous times, most often in the mid-west.

This could mean that they're never going to London, as they haven't made-up a name for it to GTA-fy it. However in GTA 3 Ray mentions Miami when just a year later they made Vice City, so who knows what the future holds.

(Personally, as someone who lives in London, I don't want it to be in London. Wouldn't fit a GTA game).

I can just imagine a 3d GTA set in London titled Grand Theft Gridlock: Traffic Jam. Would be quite a boring game sitting in the car on the M25 (world's largest free car park) for hours on end....and heaven forbid you take the underground - your character strolls into a carriage, sits down, and then gets shot in the head seven times by plain-clothes policemen for no reason.
