The old one still works for me. But I did the Firefox extension version trick that I mentioned in an earlier post.

No problem, but not everybody is so adventurous smile.gif

However I must admit that I hardly use FF myself anymore, I'm almost totally switched to Chrome.
I only fire-up FF to visit GTAforums.com tounge.gif

One of these days I have to dive in the world of Chrome extentions, and do a version for Chrome smile.gif

BTW. I noticed some strange behaviour of the extention of the FF4 beta, it might not work correctly for that one (yet).

Just a heads up, the link to the Firefox extension needs to be updated, as it does not work-when you click on it, Firefox blocks it. This is on Windows Vista and Windows 7 without any external AV's or Firewalls-both PC's just have the basic Windows Firewall and Windows Defender programs that come standard on Windows-Vista has the UAC OFF and 7 has UAC ON(as there is no option to turn off the UAC on 7.) So, it's not UAC blocking it. It is the latest version of Firefox on both PC's, if that helps. Just a friendly heads up, and this was a good idea if it would work without Firefox blocking it-lol. tounge2.gif

So I don't suppose there's new versions for the repeated new releases of Firefox? tounge.gif

I myself did use this a while back and I enjoyed it. Although now I too use Chrome.

This is from the previous page:

QUOTE (heat84 @ Monday, Jul 20 2009, 14:46)
You guys are gonna be pissed but you could've used the old version of the extension with newer versions of FF. Al you had to do is edit a line in a text file. The only reason the old extension didn't work with newer versions of FF was because of this:<em:maxVersion>0.10</em:maxVersion>. Here's how you fix it. I did it(along time ago tounge.gif ) and it works. I only noticed this thread a week ago when I saw it in the most recent post area on the forum index.

QUOTE (PatrickW @ Thursday, Aug 13 2009, 19:26)
The MAX-version definition as all Firefox extensions have, ensures that developers test their extension first with an Firefox update before users are able to use it. Minor update usually don't break extensions, so wild-card are used for that, but declaring an extension compatible with major versions that aren't even available  (the suggestion of setting it to 10.0) is considered very bad practice.

Patrick's warning taken into consideration, this trick has been working for me since 2009 (can't remember having had compatibility issues since then).
So I would suggest to first download the latest version, which is 0.5.4, then perform the trick mentioned above (but only if it's necessary).
