Wow, you guys really have any kind of hope for this thing??

Considering how most videogames adaptations end up being, we have more reasons to be depressed than excited about it sad.gif Of all the videogame movies I've seen the only one that came close to the real thing was Silent Hill, and to a lesser extend the first Mortal Kombat, but it's hard to get it wrong with a game that's all about random fights. Yet, they managed to produce a really awful sequel.

Anyway, I don't want to be a downer since everyone is putting effort into guessing good actors.

I'd like to see an adaptation of MGS1. You know, it's the start, the most fresh one and it has some really good scenes to steal from (like Sniper Wolf's death, or Psycho Mantis' and, of course, the Liquid cover).

It's a shame Clint Eastwood is so old now, he could have been a killer Revolver Ocelot, with a Magnum 44, lol!

We already have a very good producer backing up the film, known for producing successful comic book movies. And most comic book movies are well known for combining elements from different comic book story arcs into one. I kinda like Typhus' idea of Solidus as main antagonist, Big Boss in Campbell's role and the emphasis on themes from Sons of Liberty, so yeah.

Now it's only up to who's going to write and direct. I hope to God Kojima has a say on who's going to write and direct. Or maybe he'll even have a hand in it?

Escape from New York was MGS enough for me. I'm not a fan of modern Hollywood but I'm a big fan of the MGS series.

So, Billy Bob Thorton for the role of Ocelot?

lmao, all kidding aside, i REALLY hope this will not be butchered. Hugh Jackman seems like he could pull it off, only shame being he's pure Hollywood. I'd rather see someone else who'd come closer. And not using David Hayter for voicing would be nothing short of blasphemy.
