Welcome to the first ever Champions League Prediction League on GTAF!
==Rules==Those who are familiar with the previous leagues won't find it hard to take part in this, but still take a read to know what's going on, since it's the first time this has been done, and a few things have been changed.
Each of the 4 parts of the competition will have different points system and rules. The qualifying, the group stage, the knockout stage and the final.
General RulesGeneral rules about the competition-Predictions most be posted before the match, and if they are altered during the match times, they won't be counted
-Table will be updated after every match that is played, or a fixture in one night(such as group and knockout stages), while the 1st post table is updated after every major part of competition.
-Predictions must contain the score, eg 2:1, 1:3, etc, not the team who wins or a betting format prediction(1,X,2)
-Predictions can be posted as soon as the fixtures are drawn, or a day or two before the match when the upcoming fixtures will be posted in the topic as a reminder.
-In case of a tie in any of the top 3 positions in the table at the end of the league, winner will be the decided by the amount of bonus points.
Qualifying - RulesThis round includes 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th(play-off) qualifying round.-Correctly predicting the result(eg, you said 1:0, and it was 1:0) will earn you - 1 pts
-Correctly predicting the winner(eg, you said 1:0, and it was 2:0) will earn you - 0.5 pts
-Incorrectly predicting the score/winner(eg, you said 1:0, and it was 1:2) will earn you - 0 pts
In the 2nd leg of the fixtures, the score you predicted will be dragged over to extra time, so if the extra time happens, then the extra time score will be counted. Penalties will not be a part of the prediction in any round. For an example, if you said it will be 1:1, and it happens to be 1:1 in the first leg, you got the points. If you guessed 1:1 in the 2nd leg, and it ended 1:1 after 90 minutes, but 2:2 after 120, you only get 0.5 points, or 0 if somebody won the game.
Group Stage - RulesThis round includes 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th fixture of the group stage round.-Correctly predicting the result(eg, you said 1:0, and it was 1:0) will earn you - 2 pts
-Correctly predicting the winner(eg, you said 1:0, and it was 2:0) will earn you - 1 pts
-Incorrectly predicting the score/winner(eg, you said 1:0, and it was 1:2) will earn you - 0 pts
Knockout Stage - RulesThis round includes Top 16, 1/4 final and 1/2 final round.-Correctly predicting the result(eg, you said 1:0, and it was 1:0) will earn you - 3 pts
-Correctly predicting the winner(eg, you said 1:0, and it was 2:0) will earn you - 1.5 pts
-Incorrectly predicting the score/winner(eg, you said 1:0, and it was 1:2) will earn you - 0 pts
Same rules as for the qualifying stage apply here for the 2nd leg matches.
Final - RulesThis round includes Final round.-Correctly predicting the result(eg, you said 1:0, and it was 1:0) will earn you - 4 pts
-Correctly predicting the winner(eg, you said 1:0, and it was 2:0) will earn you - 2 pts
-Incorrectly predicting the score/winner(eg, you said 1:0, and it was 1:2) will earn you - 0 pts
For the score predictions, same rules as for the knockout stage and the qualifying apply.

==Bonus Predictions==a) Group Predictions - 8 points

d) (Final) Time of First Goal Prediction - 1 point
a) Group Predictions bonus prediction is a bonus prediction where you guess who will be the 2 teams that qualify for the 3rd phase from each of the 8 groups.
For an example, group a:Napoli, Man City; group b:Inter, Lille, etc. Each correctly guessed team can earn you an extra 0.5 points, so if you guess all the teams correctly, you could win up to 8 points. You don't have to guess the order of teams, just the ones who you think will qualify. You can do this bonus prediction from the moment of the group draw, until the first group phase match begins
b) CL Winner Predictions is the second bonus prediction, where you guess a single team out of the 32 that you think will win the champions league. Getting it right can earn you 5 points at the end of the prediction league. You must predict this from the end of the group stage, until the first match of the next phase.
c) In the final, you can guess which player of the finalists will score the first goal. This prediction can earn you an extra point, and you'll predict that together with your final prediction. You can predict any of the players of the club.
d) In the final, you can also guess the time of the first goal. This, as well as the goal scorer can earn you 1 point each, but they are also used in case of a tie on the table, as well as other predictions. Times will be 1st half, 2nd half, 1st extra time, 2nd extra time and no goals.
==Additional Bonus Predictions==CL Winner Prediction (Before Final) -
1.5 ptsCL Winner prediction, but before the final. Just pick and name one of the two finalists who you think will lift the trophy. Bayern Munich or Chelsea.
Penalties Prediction-
1.5 to 3 ptsIf it gets to the penalties, you'll be able to win additional points
-Correctly predicting the score(eg, you said 5:4 for Chelsea, and they won 5:4) will net you 3 points
-Correctly predicting the winner(eg, you said 5:4 for Chelsea, but they won 4:2) will net you 1.5 points
-All other incorrect predictions(eg, you said 5:4 Chelsea, but bayern won 5:4, or you said 5:4 Chelsea, but Bayern won 4:3) will give you 0 points.
