I still haven't finished the story on this and never intend to pick the game up again. It just fizzled out for me.

I've been playing it lately. I just got it a few days ago, and I'm loving it so far. I feel as though the melee combat is somewhat too tough, but I guess the challenge is worth it.

You'll get the hang of it eventually. A good tip is to mainly rely on counters, especially with tougher enemies that tend to block your attacks. Keep your distance and wait for them to attack you first. smile.gif

I'm horrible at counters. I've tried, and it only works every once in a while. What I do is I put the enemy into a grapple and strike him or perform an environmental move on him.

Well try some more, there are some enemies you can't grapple. Just hold down the right trigger, (I think, its been a while) while the enemy is red and then attack, watch some videos, its easily the most awesome and badass thing to do in the game. In some of the trickier fight clubs, I was litterally just countering like two moves at once, just an endless stream of attacking and counters, it was truly awesome. Fight club is the best thing in the game, especially at night, its just got so much atmosphere.

There is no denying that Sleeping Dogs is a great game. Yes, it had its issues but overall, it was a great title that lacked only one thing; a multiplayer mode. Well, just like with Just Cause 2, the modding community comes to the rescue and is currently working on a mod that will add a multiplayer mode to United Front Games’ open-world title. This mod is still in an early stage, though the team behind it has released a test footage for it that can be viewed below. Enjoy!

Sleeping Dogs was just brilliant, ive played a lot of sandbox games and this is the only one that comes close to GTA. I can't fault Sleeping Dogs in any way.
