Hello. Newfag here and first post.

So to get to the point, I want the character selector mod and a the native trainer thingy. And I've read a little in here and am wondering what the asi loader is? Do I need it to use mods? And if so which is the best version? (The one that works with the lastest version og gta4)

How do I install the asi loader when I bought gtaiv on steam?

Is there even an official way of installing mods? If so, how?

official mods are called addons , nope there are any . asi are scripts so i let you guess what asi loader is . as asi loader i use xliveless myself , that is an asi loader but that is also a bypass to GFWL . there are several scripts/scripts loaders versions according to which game version you have . the best is to download the stuff you wish to install and read the readme . it will tell you if the script is compatible with you game version or not . mods , they are some outstanding mods out there , for each liking , from textures to cars passing by weapons etc ... just browse the major DL sites , i'm sure you'll find what you're looking for
