So...erm. I made a txt in my EFLC dictionary titled commandline.txt and did this thread Thread but I don't think it really worked.

So, could someone explain this technological illiterate retard how this magic works? Give me step by steps on how to get my tweak working on EFLC.

That tweak was valid for an older GTAIV version and AFAIK it has been depreciated ever since.

So... how do tweak my game to work without the streets turning into a blurry mess while driving? I don't have FPS issues as much as I have drewing issues.

^^^^ Do that if you have hidden file extensions. Otherwise, leave it as is.

There was a mod for disabling motion blur, UGT or Ultimate graphics tweak it was named, but I don't know what's the latest version it supported.

Props on the creative topic. biggrin.gif Nice to see something different rather than the same old generic topics.

First of all, that tweak works in EFLC too. I've tried it.

But that tweak is basically for people having FPS issues.

What exactly in the tweak doesn't work? Does your resolution go above 800x600?

Need more details.

What resolution and settings do you want to run at?

To get rid of the blur, go to your graphics options and turn on definition and in game hit P to turn off the vaseline filter (the blur filter).

By 'drewing' did you mean the blurriness? Or did you mean you have drawing issues like missing textures?

Not motion blur, more of this Pic.

Didn't a post earlier said the tweak won't work because I am running the latest version? Yes, my copy is Steam.

EDIT; Either way. After doing the steps in the thread and applying my commandline (I didn't hid the extension): I load the game to discover that my menu is still extremely...smoggy from the 800x600. I enter the options to discover that my settings are all on high like I left them and my memory usage changed according to what I wrote in the .txt but when I entered ingame it's all in a bad mess that normally happens with low resolution AND it's leggier than before! I than just removed the commandline, set back resolution to normal (1600x900) and... actually got smoother gameplay. I was playing for awhile when I decided to take a snapshot of the true problem I a facing with GTA IV-- missing textures. Of course, framerate is not as fast as the consoles (Feels like I am emulating the game rather than playing the 'pc version') but I guess that's going to be hard to fix. My graphic memory is a little over 1 GB.

Loading issue...if your commandline is working, try to include one of these lines:

QUOTE
-memrestrict 188743680 LOW TEXTURES (256M Video Cards)
-memrestrict 209715200
-memrestrict 230686720
-memrestrict 262144000 MED TEXTURES (512M Video Cards)
-memrestrict 293601280
-memrestrict 314572800
-memrestrict 629145600 HIGH TEXTURES (1Gig+ Video Cards)
-memrestrict 650117120
-memrestrict 681574400

For example you run the game at MEDUIM textures quality choose one of the 3 lines:
-memrestrict 262144000 MED TEXTURES (512M Video Cards)
-memrestrict 293601280
-memrestrict 314572800
and put in your commandline(if working tounge.gif )

How do I get this error anyways? Also, do I need to change my options after I use the commandline?

Edit: I've decided to try out med quality. Took out a taxi and drove as fast as I could on a straight line. Certainly have improved. I also feel like my framerate is much better too.

Read Here the comments of R* how to find your memrestrict number.
With my knowledge and many expriments about blurred and popping textures i noticed that memrestrict command doesn't work because of save game files and setting files.
When you find your correct command the game will be good without popping, blurred graphics and lags, but after rest or restart of the PC all horrible things will be back, so you must delete those files (save games and settings, tehey are hidden, so find or watch in youtube how to view hidden files and folders).
Also this recommendation is good when you put mods in the game.

Read my reply in the tweak thread man. This is a problem even I faced. The key is to reducing the -availablevidmem value till its perfect.

As for the missing textures, well, you'll have to choose between either Monkey's tweak (which if done correctly should reduce the VRAM load - just like what memrestrict does) or go with memrestrict alone.

I'd get Monkey's tweak working tbh. The performance boost is really worth it.
