Ive got some radio files modded, I put some new radio intro the mobile game, there are two ways to install it.
1st. install via ios, that means without using the pc. Download the files to iFile, then you unrar it, next you copy that radio files intro to your gta3 app. Its works only on ios, I will try to create one for the android. to install is copy the file to this: var/mobile/application/gta3/gta3.app, if you on this network of your gta then tick edit and paste it there, when its copyed and paste sucessfully then press on done, exit iFile and run the game, select the radio stations. Enjoy
2nd, download iFunbox, go to the apps copy the radio files to the gta3.app

I'd hate to bump an old thread, but does anyone have that gta3.set file that was provided in the quote above? The link is dead and I used to have it but after flashing a new rom I've lost all my data.

It was the only gta3.set that had no lag whatsoever for my Xperia Play.

If anyone has GTA 3 on iPhone 5/iPod Touch 5G, I replaced the default gta3.set with one from the PC version. Normally (on the new 5th Generation devices), GTA 3 has the iPhone 4 graphics (no shadows, no blood, low frame rate, ect.) as opposed to the enhanced iPhone 4S effects, but this new file should bring those effects back, as well as improve the frame rate.

Only for game version - iOS: 1.3.1
Tweaks included:
- No intro fix
- Properly disabled fading
- Disabled cutscene borders and black tint.

Installation for iOS:
1) Setup a connection with your iDevice with WinSCP, tutorial here or here.
2) In WinSCP, go to /private/var/mobile/Applications/2F3E897A-031C-4D44-8845-34D123CECF67/gta3.app/ (numbers could be different, i guess)
3) Copy downloaded gta3 to [gta3.app] folder.
4) Open terminal.

Type

CODE

chmod 775 "gta3"

Then press execute.

Close.
5)Respring, to avoid crash, and start the game.

Humm... I got something intereating. When I replace the gta3.set with gta_vc.set, the controls became standard from the pc! Plus there is no sound and can not look around by swipe or using IJKL, I can only use gamepad mod to aim (sixaxis controller). Is this because the controls were printed on the .set file?
