well hippie (cant believe im informing you of something hehehe) its if you install a vehicle mod, that increases the size of the Vehicles.img folder or whatever, the game will only, and i mean only, spawn taxis rather than any other vehicle, not sure why, but yes its a serious problem for anyone whos installed custom vehicles, i had it, got a script fix from the LCPD FR boys tho wink.gif

I use patch 1.0.4.0 and scripthook 0.4.0 but it doesn't work, the game crashes. When I download Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 nothing changes, it crashes. I am just gonna try to download MSVCR100D.dll only, but where do I put it?

So, now to my question: For me, your mod works great, but it makes all the textures disappear. I read this could happen if you don't have enough VRAM, but my graphics card has 1 GB and I've got 8 GB normal RAM.

System: Windows 7 64bit, Phenom X4 955, Radeon HD 6870, 8GB RAM

Don't know what to do, my GTA version is 1.0.4.0, scripthook the same, scripthookdonet (don't know which version), xliveless and dsound.dll are all in the right folders.

Can you link me, which versions of all these programs you use and if I still need some more? It's really hard to believe that my hardware's too bad to play it. sad.gif

I mean, I see really a lot of different cars, just perfect, but after some time driving I don't see any streets, buildings,... anymore.

I'm sorry but GTA IV is just one of the sh*ttiest coded pc games ever. I also have 1GB VRAM and missing textures sometimes, if you look at my first pic in the original post the white building in the far right has low res textures already. If I play for some longer time I get missing texures too.

I concluded a while ago that in order to play GTA IV with all cars modded AND have them appearing correctly like in the normal game, you need 2GB VRAM, maybe even more.
That's also why I gave op on GTA IV a few months ago, I'll just wait a couple of years when GTA V is out, maybe our pc's will then be strong enough to finally play this game modded.

btw, to all the other people who can't get this mod working, no I don't know why it doesn't work for you, it does for me, Derell and a couple of other guys

EDIT: and to all the people who's game just crashes right on, you probally have a even sh*ttier pc than mine who just can't handle it to load that many cars in the memomry at once (wich is what this mod does), and I have HD5870, 4GB RAM and 3,6GHz i5 quad core which is good but not good enough for GTA IV with every car modded sad.gif

Well, seems like waiting is the best option at the moment. Thanks for your answer anyway, great mod but unfortunately with all the cars the game is unplayable. But in a couple of years I will certainly be using this. Best mod for fixing this problem. smile.gif

So, I just recently bought GTA IV off of Steam a few days ago as well as EFLC. I seriously spent around 12 hours replacing my cars. I started the game... WTF TAXIS! I did some research, brought me here and
I would just like to say thank you, because this works for me. I do realize that there isn't a wide variety of spawning ped cars, but this is the best i think we will all get for now. BBy the way i have
GTA 1.0.7.0 and Spripthook 0.5.1. Lots of VRAM + RAM also so I don't have problems there. Again, thank you for making this make the game better with mods!

This does nothing for me, shows up in asi log, but makes no difference what so ever! sad.gif have to use TCS untill theres a better fix, why the hell hasnt rockstar fixed this!?!!?!?!?!?!

Would it be possible to make this mod load 5 cars every second until all cars are loaded instead of loading all at once? It's crashing on my rig with 4 GB RAM and 6970 2GB VRAM. I'm using -norestrictions and -nomemrestrict but it still crashes. confused.gif

weird, it worked for my 1040 version, but for 1070 it didnt, for patch 4 i used the old scripthook, for patch 7 the new one...

One question does this works with extra added vehicles? I mean, vehicles added that doesnt replace any vehicle already ingame. I added like 30 or more vehicles and some of them doesnt spawn regulary. So I downloaded some traffic scripts but all of them doesn t make the extra added vehicles to spawn.

This crashes my game just after loading a save game (or starting a new one) unfortunately, running EFLC 1.1.2.0. I now modded my taxis to make them all white, like Aussie ones, makes it look a little less jarring but still kind of annoying. Hope a working fix for EFLC will be released soon =)

is this being used ?
If so how ?

does this mean we're supose to hit a key for this script to work ?

Insta-crash with this "fix" for me... Isn't there a newer plain Taxi Bug Fix? And please, no traffic-changers, just "Taxi-removal", as I need to try something.
