I have a what id like to call good computer.
Specs:
i7 2600K at 4.6Ghz
16GB RAM
XFX 6990
2TB Caviar Black with an Agility 3 SSD doing SRT caching
1TB Caviar black for random crap
3x23in ACER LED monitors (Resolution: 5992x1080)

I am running the game with these settings. I can barely get 10FPS in game. Here are the results of a benchmark.

Can someone please help?

GTA IV is horribly coded for multi-gpu cards that might be one factor.

What patch are you using?
Patch 4 ought to be the best one performance-wise, so if you're on an other patch, uninstall the game and reinstall it with the 4th patch.

Besides that, try commandline.

Horrible-coding for multi-gpu support isn't doing all that (besides the res). There must be something else.

A 6990 is just two weaker 6970s. Since GTA IV only uses one GPU, that means only one of those GPU cores are being used and a single weak 6970 isn't going to cut it for that resolution.

Sorry bro, but you're problem going to have to lower the resolution.

i just install the display driver from discs in the box, but i thought catalyst control center could use game specific settings to use only one monitor. but anyway, some solutions to try (at least one was already mentioned by another poster here):

That huge a res for 1 card (GTA IV is only using 1 card id imagine) a weaker 6970 is way to weak for 3+ moniters with maxed settings.

I am far from max settings.... did you look at the image?

The res is the problem, lower the width to 1920.

But I love my WOW factor of running GTA on three screens when I have friends over.. im known for being the only person with three screens
Also whenever I run a game at 1920x1080 (like SC2) it goes on the left screen and really hurts my neck playing.. any way to put it on the middle screen?

okay, if you can be bothered to run starcraft 2 at 1920x, why can you just run gta IV the same way and enjoy maximum details?!!! smh! the fastest way to correct that is to switch the cables around while the computer is on.

So i installed the game, ran it, installed 1.0.4.0, ran it, installed xliveless, ran it, installed the missing font crap, ran it and it crashed saying "Unrecoverable Fault" after a minute or so.. what did i do wrong?
