Try finding me a Stagea for £1500 in the UK. Cheapest one on Pistonheads is four grand and that's a 2.5 non-turbo automatic. | http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/Cars-/9801/i.htm...R40&_nkw=stagea

So one dog-rough automatic 2WD one going dirt cheap, one Turbo at £500 about 12 hours into a 7-day auction, and the rest £3k upwards. I stand by my statement.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-Stagea-RS...=item35c55e8b3c | If you retards are just going to post automatic Stageas, than what's the point? Sounds like they had better vehicles on Top Gear to begin with. Why would anyone want an automatic in an Africa special where you're constantly going offroad and on sh*t roads. You're almost guaranteed to bust a hole in that paper thin trans pan. It's not that hard. Me and a friend were riding around on a normal gravel road that knocked a hole in one on his taurus. That road wasn't near as sh*tty as what they were driving on. I guess they could rig up yet another skidplate out of a door or hood or something because that sounds so f*cking fun.

| QUOTE (epoxi @ Wednesday, Mar 20 2013, 14:13) | | Why is the Stagea so expensive? Is it purely import inflation (a la Toyota Starlet Glanza), or is the car genuinely rare/special? | Because of the associating with the Skyline, and the fact that very few were ever imported in to the UK. The proper GT-R engined ones are impressive things but the rest- even the AWD single turbo 2.5 tend to be pretty mediocre in terms of standard, real-world performance. Hampered by an archaic and fragile automatic gearbox most of the time. Plus they're huge, pretty hideous, brutally thirsty, extremely heavy, expensive to insure, expensive to maintain and pretty obscure. I can't personally think of any reason why most people would have one over a hot German or Swedish load-lugger, or even a Subaru.
