Hi, as everyone else i look forward to GTA V. But i can't wait to get my hands on it, so.. I have considered to make a new map mod inspired by mountains and river screens from it. It's not a replica or same location as in GTA V, but it kinda looks like it and have that amazing river with waterfalls.. It's also based on Battlefield 3: Armored Kill - Alborz Mountains & Forza Horizon! I hope ya'll like the idea and will enjoy it as mutch as i do! This map is a bit bigger than RDD '12 and have alot of features! With heightmap texture from Pikes Peak, Colorado by NASA i've started to make the map in Cityscape 1.8..
INFO: + Base of the map builded up in Cityscape 1.8 + Cliffs & Big Rocks being made with poly tools in 3DS Max '12 + Cave & Underground Facility in the Mountain ( thanks to Mike Frost ) + Dam on the River + Different types of Roads + Military Airfield + Lushy Vegetation + Traffic Paths ( by Legiz ) + HUD Map aka Mini Map ( thanks to Terreur 69 ) + Edited Water + Towns & Villages ( 450 objects ) in objects.ini ( thanks to LastCommand ) can be used with Simple Native Trainer 6.4 ingame!
CREDITS: Thanks to Mike Frost, Blaster_NL, Terreur69, Legiz, Ozy Robert for your time and effort in this mod! Thanks to 3doomer & GoodNTS for great tools Thanks to Zcool, Carrythxd and all others for testing and keeping the fans happy on FB & GTAForums!
Looks good, in the 5th picture I think you should elevate the road a little bit from the terrain, it might look better due to the present flat of the terrain.

Thanks, and ye i'll elevate terrain a bit there. But there should be also a bit flat terrain for Army stuff later..

May I ask, how are you going to do the waterfalls on your map?
I was thinking to try it first with 2dfx particles of the fountains, with big rocks and some vegetation it should be nice. If this wouldn't work there is few ways to do it aswell

Yess,Stilldre is back,Goodluck with this mate, this looks interesting
Good luck and hurry up, I need new terrain to rally on Or aren't there going to be off-road tracks? Also, try to do it efficiently with the LOD sh*t because the RDR Beta '12 really slows down my game
Thanks and i'll take my time on this one, but you all know i'm fast and accurate There is off-roads but no race tracks, it's kinda better this way imo.. I haven't did any LOD's on RDD '12, but i will on this one!

they 're look great bro!!! the only thing that I would improve(since u had a map similar to this where the top of the mountains has snow) is maybe give more transition between them. like at the top the snow is really thick and when you go lower it gets thinner and only few objects has them. but this is just an opinion. but great job so far cookie??

Looks great. However I would increase the plant density.
Thx mate, i'll increase it later when i have map ingame. This is just a preview of where the vegetation should be.

Ye there is enough of dirtpaths and i should make few more snowy ones aswell.. In the meantime i'm getting my inspiration from different sources, somewhere next week i should export the map to game hopefully

This looks awesome! I'm going to be keeping my eye on this thread! I'm sure you can make a great looking waterfall. That first idea you had sounds like it could work. Did you try it?
Now, in honor of my compliment, can you make a slightly angled wide curved road going down a hill? Not too steep though. Unless you already have one like of course. Hah! I know i shouldn't be asking you to do something, but whatever. Sometimes i just feel the need to be annoying. x)
Either way i'm so going to capture and edit a car commercial when this map is out.
