For some reason, instead of having the camera from Tommy's back, it's now his front. Why?

Uhh, this one is odd. Where have you got the game from? Do you have any mods installed? Has this problem happened before or it just did out of nowhere? Have you tried removing the gta_vc.set file in the Vice City User Files folder?

It just popped out of nowhere i saved the game and pop. i had beaten kaufman cabs 1 mission. I bought it off steam, no mods. i don't think i had it before. but if it did my friend fixed it. not tried removing file what does it do?

Have you tried removing the gta_vc.set file located in the Vice City User Files folder? If that doesn't work, re-install the game.

will reinstalling the game make me lose eveything?

It shouldn't, but in any case go to the Vice City User Files folder and copy paste all files that are something like gtasfx.b (x=random number depending on slot saved in) and put them in a separate folder on desktop temporarily.

Check if you have any other controllers plugged in. If yes, then remove them.

Try deleting the gta_vc.set file located in the User File directory and if you this doesn't solve the problem try reinstalling the game. Your save games will not be harmed or deleted.
