Well, since the writer's discussion fellas have their Social Club and the DYOM designers their Designers Lounge, I thought that concept thread writers need a lounge too. I think we don't need a huge explaining where this topic serves for, since it's obvious. Here, you can ask, chat and discuss around anything that has to do with concept threads.
Oh and please keep the spam out of this topic. | Great Idea, mati! Impressive. (What? It is topic related!!)

| QUOTE (mati @ Saturday, Aug 20 2011, 19:52) | | Somehow, I think that Life's Price is loosing it's fame. I get comments like ''nice missions man'' and such, but can't find anyone to discuss the story with. |
I saw your thread (made men) thread. I like the story, it seems unique to me. I'm not being generous just to make you happy either, I can safely say it's a whole lot better than mine. Mine sucks btw lolBut even though it sucks, check it out. I'd like to see your feedback. It's my first concept, so it's far from professional like yours.

Having suggested this some time ago in hopes of boosting fledgling activity, it's nice to see a lounge up and running in here. Hopefully now, everyone's needs are taken care of and if anyone lacks feedback, they can drop by here and request some notice. The OP could do with some bulking up in terms of links out to stop people asking over and over again those same tired old questions. Akavari's So You Want To Make A DLC? would be a perfect mention, as would the creating guide by Blitz. Thanks for putting all this together, Mati. To ask something I've been pondering for a while now, what is it that motivates a user to get involved in a concept thread through the processes of leaving feedback, or comments amounting to such? With one of the major incentives to continue on with any story being the response, what drives you to post on a particular topic? That you enjoy the missions, they interest you? A user-friendly interface? Graphics? The topic starter is your friend? Features? The possibility of the interest being reciprocated? I ask this because I notice occasionally certain topics acquire a natural fan base, while others do not. They fade away, even though they're equally as good. For anyone thinking of investing their time, surely this must be addressed?

I take interest in the stories that are original, well-crafted, developed, realistic, etc. I also appreciate the aesthetic value of a concept, if the graphics and headers are neatly done or the color scheme is pleasing, all of these things can compliment the thread greatly. Aside from story and the way the concept is presented, gameplay features and the creator's taste in weapons, vehicles, side missions, and the like also play a role in how much I'll like the concept. If everything gameplay-related seems to come together around a certain theme, if I can envision myself playing it and enjoying it, then it works. I'll comment on a story if I feel it merits a compliment, or sometimes out of sympathy to the creator if there is a drought of feedback, but I don't expect the guy to return the favor.

| QUOTE (Los Santos Pedestrian @ Tuesday, Aug 23 2011, 15:29) | | Right now I'm working on a new concept called GTA: Cloveland, but I've lost it twice and I'm getting really tired of redoing it. I'm actually thinking of someone else doing it for me, because it's extremely irritating when I lose all my work. | Err... Nobody will make the concept thread for you, that's not the whole point.

I've considered a GTA III DLC concerning the Leone Family under Toni Cipriani's control. It would have PS3-era graphics and a fourth region(Upstate), which consists of small towns, suburbs, and rural areas, but there is some centralized urban areas upstate.
The protagonist would be an undocumented immigrant from Southern Italy, who is recruited by the Leones. There would be new gangs, new cars, new weapons, and a whole lot more.
Still in the development stage.
I wonder what you guys would think of it?
