Do you have to kill lance to win the mission before defending the safe. I keep goin to defend the safe and blow evryone to hell and they just keep comin'. Will they just keep comin till I've killed Lance? so I beat the final mission. Its hard to believe and a little disappointing thats it. Unless someone knows somthin I don't?

Yes, you must kill Lance first, then go defend the safe and a short time after that, Sonny will appear and after you kill him, you will get the ending cutscenes for the game....That's about all I can say without spoiling the game for you.

And you can kill Lance with fists if you want to after you kill everyone else on the roof

Just kill that Backstabber first and then protect the safe... Thats how you complete the game..

This mission is incredibly easy and quite short, if you have a minigun (as opposed to the final mission from GTA San Andreas {End of the Line}, which is hard and long, even with a minigun)!

Anyone having trouble with Lance on the roof can do this. Unlock the SeaSparrow if you don't already have it. After defending the safe run out the front door and pick up your health/armor icons and run to the back and use the SeaSparrow to chew Lance down to nothing with the chopper gun. Then for Extra Zazz, on the Xbox version (maybe PC?) you can drive any car right into the mansion and run over Sonny over and over again till he's dead.

I think you can enter the mansion even with a car on the Pc version.

Yeah, I just don't want to make any statements unless I knew for sure. I haven't played the PS2 copy for many years, but I don't think you can drive cars into the mansion on the PS2 version.

Realize this is my experience with the ORIGINAL PS2 version.... later versions may have enabled you to enter by driving.

My mistake. You can enter cars through the mansion with the Greatest Hits PS2 version of Vice City. It just seems like such a small thing to introduce though. It makes me wonder what other kinds of edits they made between both versions.

They really should have weapon icons for a pair of pliers and a blowtorch for the final mission. I would have saved Lance until after I'd dealt with Sonny, then taken Lance down to the basement and.....sorry, my imagination's getting the better of me

KILL LANCE VANCE THE MAN WITH THE DANCE FIRST. YOU HAVE TO KILL HIM BEFORE GOING BACK TO THE SAFE. BUT PLEASE MAKE IT PAINFUL FOR HIM, HE DESERVES IT THE BACKSTABBER.

lance the prick only uses a ruger which is like basic stuff compared to my Rocket Launcher. They both didn't last long. The python makes small work of anyone else
