Hello everybody! smile.gif

I searched the internet including this forum for an answer to my problem but I didn't find anything helpful, so now I hope that someone of you could help me.
I installed a Vice City uncut patch and everything worked perfectly, until I entered Ammu Nation and tried to buy a gun - the game crashed. This happens every time I enter Ammu Nation and it seems that many people have the same problem. I tried to install another uncut patch, but this didn't fix the problem.
I have no idea what to do and I would be very happy if someone has the solution to the problem, in order to play the original uncut version of the game.

Thanks in advance,
Macavell smile.gif

Give some info about your pc. Is your game legit? Try re installing the game and then installing a different uncut patch

By uncut he probably means without the Haitian dialogue cut out. In which case the Steam version of Vice City is uncut, or at least it was for me when I bought it, I'm not sure if when R* pulled it from the store to cut out those songs, they cut out the Haitian dialogue too. So if you wanna play uncut, I guess just buy it on Steam then.

Ok, I think I understand... the patch is essentially a mod , and if this occurs with the patch installed then the problem is most likely being caused by the patch.

I personally would not install the "patch"-- IMO, it doesn't add alot (or take away alot if from the perspective of not having this content) to the game.... watch the cutscenes on youtube or whatnot...

If the patch affects the "gore" in the game as well-- then once again-- not a big deal-- so what if they edit out some "crunch" sounds and some blood tire tracks, etc... it doesn't add alot to the game as well.

I was under the impression that at least in the original PC disk version that if you change your PC's location settings to the US or some other country that doesn't edit the content that you can play with full gore on... I'm not sure if you need to leave the location settings on all the time or just during the game install.

So what I would do is this.... uninstall the game.

Change your location settings to US.

Reinstall and see if the "gore" is on or not.... skip installing the patch--- or patch at your own risk or contact the "patch" creator...

My 2 cents anyway.....

Just to add-- this section of the forum is for Unmodded game troubleshooting, in which case there is not alot we an do.... if the game runs ok without the patch.... then its the patch causing the problem....

The modding section of the forums may be able to help you out.

If he is playing the game in German then there will be a lot of stuff cut out. Rampages and heads getting blown off are the only two examples I can think of right now. If that's what your problem is, just reinstall the game and choose English this time and you will get the full game.
