Hello,

I've got the discs of original GTA 1, GTA London and GTA 2 releases so I'm going to give them a try. I have two questions:

1. Are there any official patches for these games (I'm not interested in unofficial/fan stuff)?
2. Does anyone know WHY GTA 1 corrupts PLAYER_A.DAT on some machines? Are there any details about this bug?

There are no official patches for GTA1 but Rockstar Games modified the http://rockstargames.com/classics version to play radio from the hard drive and they added an 800x600 resolution option. They also added the PLAYER_A.dat bug.

GTA2 v9.6 - Chat doesn't support `,../-. Molotov/grenade glitch that allows you to fly off a ledge.
GTA2 v9.6F - Chat doesn't support `,../-. Plays GTA2 radio from the hard drive.
GTA2 v10.3 - Chat supports `,../-. Doesn't play radio from hard drive. Some multiplayer parked car coordinates were adjusted since they were floating in the air in previous versions. There were other changes but I don't know them all. Officially released as a patch. Requires the original CD and may not work with newer versions of the CD.
GTA2 v10.5 - Same as v10.3 but freeloader.com modified some error messages and made it work without the CD.
GTA2 v11.41 - Hacked v9.6F with many changes.

Thanks, but I'm not interested in Rockstar Classics versions since they have bugs on their own. I'm only interested in patches for original releases of mentioned games. It seems that GTA 1 has never been patched and only GTA 2 has a patch available here: http://www.rockstargames.com/gta2/downloads/downloads.html.

the rockstar classics are basicly untouched. Besides a small bit of improvements.
If you want to download the games, you must from rockstars site. Anywhere else is illegal as it is registerware to be free. Or you can always go to ebay and buy a disk copy.
