Sorry if I am the trouble man, but I have yet a new problem.
After I uninstalled GTA IV due to installing too many car mods at one time, I was going to re-install the game again. But now every time I insert the disk into the computer, it won't read it and this pops up:

Please Insert a disk into drive D:.

Someone please help me I am about to burst!!! suicidal.gif

I can read your problem. Your DVD might have scratch. You need to remove them but Unfortunately, most of the tricks don't work. You need to buy a new one. Or, try to buy some lens cleaner which will clean the lens of the CD.

That's all I can help you.

I just bought the game over a month ago and the disk has no scratches on it.

Okay, wasn't the disk causing the problem, it was actually the D:/ itself! mercie_blink.gif
I tried it with disc 2 of GTA IV and the computer showed the same message. I then inserted a blank, new DVD-R and it wouldn't read it either. Guess I'm going to have to contact technical support.

You'll probably have to buy a new DVD drive. Those are fairly cheap and quite easy to replace on your own.

wait a bit before buying new hardware . DVD drives are cheap but there's enought pollution out there . this may also simply be caused by a badly connected cable . i had that "unread bug" several times too and most often the problem was easy to solve . check your cables and check that if last time you put your hands in the PC you didn't unintentionnaly disconnected a cable , and do a little search on Google on the possible causes too , before purchasing a new dvd drive (i had several dvd drives myself and never ever had any problem with them)
