Ah man that's sad, he made some great films. I'd heard of him but wasn't really aware of what he'd made, then just now I was looking through the list of films he directed/produced and there's so many great films on that list.
It appears he had inoperable brain tumors or some sh*t. I guess he wanted to die before it got the best of him. Shame he had to do something so drastic instead of seeking medical help ala assisted suicide.
Yep, either way he was a dead man, f*ck rotting away in a hospital bed for your last months. Rest In Peace. Produced and directed some good movies, Deja Vu being my favourite.

Very sad. Wasn't particularly fond of his style of directing (am much more of a fan of Ridley, not that I have to choose), a lot of his movies felt more like music videos. I said this in the topic I made in the Movie & TV chat (I searched, don't know why I didn't see this topic)...

So sad. I've driven over that bridge countless times, and it's got a great view of Long Beach harbor. It'll never be the same. R.I.P

Crimson Tide, Enemy of the State, True Romance, and Man on Fire were my favorite of his movies. Particularly Crimson Tide because my dad was in the Navy and that was one of his favorites. I think the True Romance script was written by Quinten Tarantino and stars alot of famous actors, some before they were household names. This is sad way for someone to go. I think Dr. Kevorkian might have had the right idea.

It's really depressing to see someone so talented go out like this, but I guess it beats wasting away in a hospital. He was a very good director, too, with True Romance, Man on Fire, and Deja Vu being some of my favorite films of all time. R.I.P.
