When I bought my PC I got a 5.1 speaker system (sort of sub-woofer) free as a gift. However, after some time the remote control buttons got stuck, and the volume rocker is broken (oh well, what to expect from a free item...). Now I want to use my 5.1's for my digital piano to get that cool bass. But the volume is kinda low, even when the piano's volume rocker is at max. And with no remote nor volume rocker I can't increase the volume....is there any way I can put the speaker's volume at MAX without the remote/volume button?

Some cheap speakers have a metal knob that's attached to the speaker itself. If the actual knob is broken, you can use pliers to turn up the volume.
If the volume control for your speaker set it attached through a cable, then there's probably nothing that can be done to fix it. Get a new set of 5.1 speakers.
Another option is to contact the manufacture and see if they sell a spare remote/volume control for your speaker.

You can either buy a new system or replace the volume rocker yourself (all you need to know is how to solder) or get an electrician to do it.

I recommend the latter.

Dunno about other countries but here you would be paying possibly more than $70 an hour for that, doesn't seem worthwhile, unless you know someone.

WTF?!

I don't know the exact rates over here but I'm pretty sure that you can get something minor like this done for less than $10 at the most.

I think it's actually more like less than $5 though.

Yeah OP if it is that expensive where you live, either get someone you know to do it for you or learn to solder yourself. The equipment is really cheap and the skill is VERY valuable.

Hell just knowing how to solder can make you a lot of money by fixing people's stuff.
