| QUOTE (Wannabe in LS @ Friday, Aug 17 2012, 16:53) | | QUOTE (StratovariusFTW @ Friday, Aug 17 2012, 12:20) | Looking at the picture posted above, I think they were in SA? Not represented really as a canal but there was an area just north of the beach in LS, around the Burger-Shot where you could find a Vortex? It was like a tiny canal with orange stone walls that ran under a small bridge before going out in the sea? I could just be imagining things but maybe that was supposed to be a small representation of them in III-era LS. |
Yeah, that area distinctly had the feel of the Venice canal, if not the exact look. Was amazing looking at the houses right down by the canal. |
Yep, I also remember from GTA-SA, that they tried to make a small canal area. I think Rockstar will include a couple of canals in GTAV just because that is a unique part of LA and the canals are right there near the beach scene shown in the Trailer. There have been chase scenes in movies where cars go airborne flying over those tiny bridges over the Venice canals. It would be a shame if we can't relive those scenes interactively in GTAV. There are only 4 canals in actual Venice Beach. it's a small area. Go to Google Maps and search for "Venice canals, Los Angeles, CA"

LOL, I thought, what the f*ck is this dude talking about? But BEFORE I clicked "no" or made a post saying "WTF dude" or something like that, I looked it up on google images and knew what you were talking about, and my answer is a big YES| QUOTE | | I'd be very surprised if there wasn't a mission involving a speedboat/jet-ski chase featuring them. how the hell can you confuse Verona in Europe with Venice Beach in LA?
OT: hell yes, i would love them in! |
I think he means the 1996 Baz Luhrmann film, which is set in the fictional Verona Beach and probably took a lot of inspiration from Venice Beach. It was mainly filmed in Miami and Mexico though, not LA. | fair enough, sorry if it seemed like i was being an ass.
