GTA VC on an iPod Touch 5th Generation

How does it run for those with 5g iPods?

I'm thinking of updating to a 5th Generation iPod Touch for Christmas. The 4th Generation isn't very good for playing some of the newer games anymore. The 5g is better because of wider screen and faster graphics.

So how does VC run on a 5th Gen?
Does it have as good of graphics as it does on the iPhone 5?
Is VC stable on the 5g iPod? (No crashing, and going back to the home screen randomly.)
How long does the battery last when playing VC?

Well I'm at it:
How does GTA III run vs the 4g, and are the graphics better than on the 4th Gen?
How is the battery life on the 5g?

If someone with an iPhone 4s could answer too, as the 4s is identical in some aspects inside to the iPod Touch 5g.

If you're worrying about graphics then you're in it for the wrong reasons.

I'm not sure about 5g, i hear it's better than 4g, it oughta be. 4g performance is crap.

GTAIII runs fine on my 4g so i don't think you will have a problem with that. It's just Vice City that performs like crap. Graphics are good, compared to playing Vice City on a ps2, they look just fine. To today's standards? Why would you even bother worrying.

I'm worrying because Apple made the iPod Touch 5g a gen behind the iPhone. Its more like a iPhone 4s on the inside, maybe with a few upgrades that the iPhone 5 has.

I have GTA III on my iPod Touch 4g. I can play it. It runs fine. However it can lag here and there, plus sometimes the app may crash when pausing the game, saving, or randomly. (Just like VC.) However in III, rebooting fixes it. VC just lets me play longer. But I'm wondering, does III use Xbox cars on newer devices?

Have you tried tweaking the game settings (graphics I mean mainly)-- adjusting draw distance and what not may help the game perform better.... not familiar with apple products so don't know if you can do anything in the "device" settings that may affect it (I mean like disabling processes and whatnot-- but from what I know about iphones-- apple doesn't really "allow" alot of simultaneous processes to occur.

The above is really based on my experience with assisting people in improving performance for the PC version, so please take with a grain of salt.

Since the ipod 5th generation has similar specs to the iphone 5 itself I dont know why it should struggle to handle VC tbh. The OS is the same as the iphone5 as well so I say you shouldn't have any problems with this.

iPod touch 5G is an iPhone 4S with the 4" screen. Both use the A5 processor, while the iPhone 5 uses the A6.

Now with that out of the way, GTA VC runs superbly on my iPhone 4S, all the effects are enabled and it pumps out a solid 24 to 35 FPS. Runs damn near as well as it does on my PC. So the iPod touch 5G will run it just fine.
