The whole "Dice sets it's sights on Call Of Duty" part has me worried. I hope by that they mean to blow that sh*tfest franchise out of the water rather than simply outdo them.

Aren't those two things one and the same? I don't see anywhere where they imply that they're trying to imitate CoD in any way. Yet that seems to be how many fans are interpreting it.
Bad Company 3 isn't something to look forward to if you really want the best Battlefield game ever. Thing is though, I highly doubt this is really going to be that good. I'm actually kind of thinking that BC2 + Vietnam Expansion are going to be Dice's best products.
In short: they've been giving too much console attention/focus to their products last years... do your own math.
edit some more Game Informer "info":
QUOTE
The franchise that revolutionized online multiplayer for PC games is back.
In our world-exclusive cover story, Game Informer unveils the first numbered entry in the Battlefield series since 2005. Many longtime fans are wondering, "what took so long?!" DICE has honed the concept for the true sequel for years, but it wasn't until the company developed the powerful new Frostbite 2 engine that it felt all the pieces were in place to create a proper follow-up. Armed with powerful upgrades like deferred rendering, real-time radiosity, a new animation system borrowed from the EA Sports label, and an exponential leap in destructibility, executive producer Patrick Bach dubs Frostbite 2 "the best piece of technology on the market when it comes to building games."

You'll have to read the magazine to get the dirt on what DICE has in store for the single-player and multiplayer modes, but check back here and visit the official Battlefield 3 site tomorrow to watch the premiere teaser trailer and glean a few more key details.
Frequent the Battlefield 3 hub throughout the month of February for more exclusive features about the highly anticipated shooter coming to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC.
The artwork looks goddamn boss I have to say...

Well that was certainly pointless and shallow. All I can tell from that is that blue is the new brown.
And I'll be goddamned if this doesn't end up being a console shooter with PC elements - y'know, 64 players on maps made for 32-player console MP, keyboard support and that sort of dumbass stuff. I'll keep the ranting down to a minimum until we get some more information, though.
EDIT: 64 players, prone (f*ck YEAH) and jets CONFIRMED! Also co-op and single player campaign.
I like the coverart... but this teaser is just some f*cked up bullsh*t. They should've done a decent teaser. Luckily they haven't done any Modern Warfare 2/Black Ops bullsh*t like teaser.
I like the logo aswell, don't dig the f*cked up 'Battlefield' tune. They could've done alot better on that front.
Edit: What the f*ck Co Op & Singleplayer? Sounds pretty boss to me. I do hope they're going to keep BC and BF as seperate franchises. One more serious, the other somewhat more goofy (When it comes to singleplayer that is, BC2/Vietnam are srs bizznizz).
I really want a copy of that Game Informer March edition...

It's a teaser, it's meant to tease, keep the watchers interested.
And I think that was actually a good teaser, we saw some distorted gameplay, and heard the BF theme Got me pumped up.

Can't wait for this! I love BF2 so much and i always play it. Wonder if they'll stray off what made the second one so good.
Also here's some more details.

The settings make it even more exciting for me, New York, Paris and Tehran, that's a great mix there of different settings which should all be very fun to play and 64 player online sounds great with fighter jets and sh*t, this is definitely another game that I have to get.

Well i'm damn happy that this game finally has proper information, I sorta skipped BF2 when it comes to the Battlefield games but I am very tempted to go find a complete collection of it and give it a play, but damn i'm happy Jets are in for this but I hope they don't give Jets and Prone to just the PC audience, it'd be nice for them to let console players have a bash at them too, though i'm fine with 64 players sticking to PC as 60+ players on console can get a bit much, as evident if you played Resistance 2 online.
