| QUOTE (The Loot @ Tuesday, Feb 26 2013, 07:53) | Hey, T-ru, quick thing. I've noticed that there's a lot of shine on people, and the sun reflects pretty bright off of the sidewalks.
The only other thing is that I've noticed that cars turn their lights off too early in the morning and too late in the evening. I'm not sure if you've tweaked that, or that it just gets light later and darker earlier. | Yes, i made sidewalks and other bright surfaces a pretty brights, because of dazzle effect and sun reflection/flares, but if you go near to these surfaces and look straight to them, they become normall, like in the reality i think, examples: Here the view is horizontal: Here the view is straight to them: In the morning and at dusk, i made the sunlight (which include sun reflection and shadows) slowly to disappear (at dusk) and slowly to appear (in the morning), but there is not to dark, 7 AM: anyway like i said the mods like this is great on some monitors and with artefacts on others. You just need to try different screen and game dissplay settings. I made this mod according with this NY at morningNY at midday NY at dusk

| QUOTE (T-ru @ Friday, Mar 1 2013, 08:44) | @The Loot: You was right, i had some free time and played the games more carefuly and yes there is shine peds, glare surfaces and too darkness in the mornimg and at dusk and some other things, but i already fixed it
@adoel488: I think that the the rain particles in this condition are normal, yes, maybe when the cam is in the dark area they are less visible, but don't you think that like this is more natural (the particles are more disperse), also like this you gain more performance.
There is a version 2.0, read the first post. |
ah yes, you're right. i think i'll settle with your mod good job man

Good work as always, T-ru! One issue I see: It seems that the corona settings during the day and night are switched, e.g. during the day they are larger and brighter than at night. (Using Grady F's EVCS beta from GTAPoliceMods for the lighting, if anyone is curious). They'd definitely be better switched the other way, IMO. Maybe also during bad weather during the day they should be bigger, too. Also, one time after playing, I tabbed out and noticed a message that said something about a problem initializing DX9. Friend said it might be because of shader issues, and I noticed you added them in the latest version. I've launched the game a few times since then with no message, so I'm not sure what happened there, This post has been edited by The Loot on Thursday, Apr 11 2013, 11:10

About problem initializing DX9 message, you should update your DirectX or maybe this's something else which is not linked with the game, this message is definitely not from the new shaders.
